I'm black myself and I don't see it as a racist comment. Eddie was probably referring to the fact that his white fans wouldn't necessarily listen to black music. Eddie's on record stating that black kids protected him from racist white bullies at his high school in the US. It's here on KZfaq.

Did you know about the Taylor and Billie beef? Before Billie release her recent album, she had an interview talking about how other artist(Taylor) not caring about the environment for releasing so many variants of the same album just to sell more and doesn’t know the impact of those plastic in the planet. Swifties attacked Billie and had to explain she didn’t name any specific artist. The week Billie release her album, Taylor surprise release another variants of her album Tortured Poets Department just to block Billie from going number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Also, after that week, Billie’s Lunch was projected to chart on the billboard 100 and then Taylor surprise release again a remix version of Fortnight featuring a DJ who is an environmental activist to block and shade Billie. It is the first time out of Billie’s 3 album to not go #1 on the chart.

Stop all these CRAZY comparisons between Taylor Swift and music legends, I recently heard from a teenager that her lyrics were even better "poetry" than Bob Dylan's... and it was like... what?! ... really? Bob Dylan? The same one who has a Nobel Prize in literature?... at this point it is becoming a joke the way they try to "explain" the "impact" of a hyper-valued artist like Taylor, reminds me of that recent article (I think it was the NYT) where with graphs and numbers "try to make the case" that Taylor is better than The Beatles... just because you sell more doesn't mean your music is good or your impact on pop culture is exponential... to me Talor is like McDonalds... It sells a lot (a lot!) but it is literally garbage that in the end only harms you. For me, Madonna is like French, Italian or Mexican cuisine all together, she is one of the few living legends left... not Elvis, Michael... a lot of great artists gone! ... and Taylor is not at that level yet for God's sake!!!

This is not a song I would ever expect to like. But I really did. The video makes it even better. In the 80's... I feel like this was every wedding I went to in the 80's (were you two even around in the 80s?). They got the ridiculous nature of the 80's down pat. It's fun. And it makes me want it to be the 80s again.
