For those who wonder how R4C4 is not a 2, here is how i found it out. If you advanced enough in the puzzle you know there is a 2 in R6C3 and there is a virtual 24 pair in C9. Therefore if ou check box 6 you will see that 2 can you be in either C7 or C8, no matter where it is it will be in box 9 in only row 8 and 9. We also know that 2 can also only be in row 8 and 9 in box 7 from previous deductions. This means that the 24 cell in R7C4 can only be a 2 and therefore the 2 cannot be in R4C4 and has to be in R5C6.

i don't understand the point of the carpets. what does this rule mean? how did you get the first digit 5?

Thank you for sharing this brilliant series of fog of war puzzles! I finally worked my way through them all. I hope there will be more. If this was the end, this last one was a great finale.

Wow, that was difficult! But a brilliant puzzle. I got stuck for 30 minutes trying all sorts of complex game of life possibilities, only to realize I'd missed a simple sudoku elimination 😅

What a cool idea, game of life + sudoku! I felt so slow at the start getting my head around the rules, but by the end it was already feeling more natural.

At 4:41, how do you rule out a 2? My solve path there was to fill the sums in R8 and R9, allowing me to fill R7, and then from the dot, placing a 7 in R7C2. I finally got the 2 when you were at 9:50.

A smooth 60minutes for me

Very nice puzzle, I enjoyed it. However this is one of those puzzles where the all fun variant sudoku stuff get resolved, but then there is still a lot of plain sudoku work left to do. To me this is a bit of a chore, like making a nice dinner but then having to do dishes afterwards 😂
