Got one to try at my work where we machine primarily 304SS. Performance is definitely on par with what's being advertised. Very impressed!

When cutting threads, it helps to clean the drill of chips and oil it beforehand, as in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jt96lKd228XcaY0.html

These threadforming taps should be used with drills that have through coolant(to push out swarf out of the hole). Regular coolant with 1.3 ratio is more than enough to keep threadforming tap cooled. Oil can be used, but the process is too slow.

I have several sizes of these and use them regularly. If you have a slow tool changer or a small number of holes, this single tool can be a good choice. I have an op that gets two M5 holes per cycle on a machine that has a slow tool changer (chip-to-chip time of around 45 seconds) and these tools are perfect for that job. Even on a machine with a fast tool changer they can be convenient in certain cases. As far as speed, I think they slowed the footage down in this video. In my shop we run them around the same speed as a regular single-point thread mill. Great tool life too.

How many times did you changed that Milling Tool? I’m sure this wasn’t always the same tool...
@ronaldchirinos6377

Sorry, could you please clarify what are your real cutting conditions? 3341 RPM are 369 SFM not 656, if you're working at 27.7 IPM for drilling actually the drilling feed is 0.008"/rev., beside at 20.1 IPM for milling means 0.003"/rev. per tooth, so I don´t get where 0.002 IPR are applied. I just want to understand very well how your tool works before running a test. On the other hand, there is any difference milling forward than backward? Regularly treadmills for inner threads run better with a climb strategy (backward) because it's cutting "at favor", in this video, the tool is working with a convencional strategy, which of them do you recommend for your tool and why?

At this rate of metal removal , at that setup , and on that machine , what will be the estimate tool life ? I am asking because I am going to consider this Endmill in our next production run , the idea here is to have a stable tool life
