Water may have entered the connector of the battery. Loose connection between the battery and the boat could be also a reason. Try to wiggle the connection.

Remotes look the same but the combination of buttons to trigger some similar actions on both drones are different. Should not be possible.

Nice review! I have both E58 and E88/E99 (several) and one thing I wanted to mention is that some of these E88/E99 drones don't stop when they lose controller signal. I had E88 drone fly out of range of controller and it kept going and going. It was fortunately stopped by a very tall tree or otherwise I would have lost it forever. Not true with E58, it immediately powers down when signal is lost to controller. One of E88 model I have also powers down, so not all E88/E99 drones are the same. In fact all of my E88/E99 drones are different from one another. Some with very bad camera (even for cheap drone), some with super cheap controller with buttons instead of real joystick etc. But since these are so cheap it's not a big deal as long as you can fly them.

Hi, Do you know how to skip the gyro check after power on? To calibrate the drone must be placed very stable. I use mine on a boot, and it keeps checking the gyro to become stable. This does not succeed on a moving boat.. any hint is welcome

Now there is a huge range of products, so I would say stick to the instructions of the manufacturer and decide based on in what environment you will drive your car. Thick lubricants absorb a lot of dirt and sand which would eventually destroy any type of bearings and are more difficult to clean.

Usually, turning off and on the remote control and the RC car help. Also checking if the batteries are fully charged on both RC car and the remote control may help. The remote control should be turned on first and then the RC car. Also, you can try to disconnect and connect the batteries on both the RC car and the remote control.

@@RCToysAventuraSmartSolutions I completely disassembled the remote control and the car, cleaned and reassembled it, but it still didn't work. The gas potentiometer inside the remote control was broken. I fixed it by changing the place of the gas potentiometer with the steering wheel potentiometer. Thank you.

Calibration reset looks like saves it in the memory even after you turn the drone off. Calibration that you perform during the flight looks like not. Mainly for cheap drones, it is always advised to do a calibration reset on a plain surface after you turn it on. On more advanced but cheap drones it may not even let you fly if you do not perform calibration.

I sometime even fasten ESCs, receivers and switches with these straps, to avoid gluing them in case you have to take things apart again and again, and it works as well.

Yon need to calibrate a drone every time you turn it on. It does not mean it won't fly well if you do not do it, but it is advised to calibrate.

Driving in water and mud is fun but requires proper maintenance and may be a couple of replacements. Sand is even worse, it destroys gears pretty fast. Worked fine for a year, but we then switched to other models.

The only thing I can't find in rhe ap is the drift buttons it only has the thumb controls. My app us a little different from your 1 and connects to WiFi flow, also if using a vpn it has to be disconnected or it won't connect 👍

Depending on what layout you choose, the buttons locations may change. For example, to rotate the drone around its axis, you need to use upper center part of the screen and move (swipe) your finger to the right or to the left. But the area is not visible, it is not marked on the screen.

Rolling in the air works fine. When calibrating, the speed setting should not matter. I usually set the speed level to the highest to have better control of the drone.
