So, I don't think it is a hard requirement. considering the big difference between small-scale (running tests for personal research) VS large-scale experiments (used in the industry), having no prior hands-on experience may be considered a plus. You don't have any assumptions. Hi arvind, thanks for the q. I mostly use Python for coding, and Data Engineers will take care of the implementation for big data. Also, there are some big data tools available.

It's hard to quantify, Arvind. The vague advice is the more advanced the better. In the big data world, Data Scientists need to be familiar with engineering infrastructure and Data Structure & Algorithm. If you can answer LeetCode Medium level questions, you should be fine. AWS is useful but different companies use different technologies. Just be aware of this.

Hi @@jayanroyal3091 , it’s totally possible. Degrees can help a lot but do not guarantee anything. I’m a data scientist more than a Data analyst, but Coursera and DataCamp have pretty good courses. It would be easier to follow an online course than learning at your own.
