My general first goal with this channel was to react to all Galneryus stuff. What I do aside from that can vary. If there is a general interest in other things, I might listen to those as well at a later time. Syu's solo albums, however, are something I'm considering to integrate into the Galneryus series directly. At a given time I might do a vote if there is enough interest in that or if it can wait for later. Other projects of the band members are somewhat interesting to me as well because I didn't have much contact with them yet. I'm somewhat fond of Alhambra (which is a Band Yuhki has played in), but most of the other projects in question, as far as I'm aware, aren't very available, which is why I don't know much of them.

That would be an option. My ocd would tell me to wait with the lives until I've listened to all studio versions or at least listen to the song in studio and then jump over to the live version only for the solo, but I know that live versions will probably be a bit more interesting to watch in general, so I might as well go for the lives to begin with (maybe with a bit of comparison to the studio version if necessary, especially since Wherever you are and Chasing the Wind are some of my favorite songs, which means that the particularities of the studio versions are especially important for me there^^). If so, it would be helpful if you could point out the relevant songs for this that you are aware of or might be able to remember (aside from the two mentioned).

Yea, it's a bit surpizing how intricate those first Galneryus songs are. I would never have noticed without doing these reactions xD

I’m not too sure since almost all of syu’s songs are written in Eb and depending on the source the tabs are either in E or Eb, I think from memory based on live performances I’ve seen syu plays it in Eb

I think I have listened to every song of them at least once over the past ten years, but I don't remember most of them. If I had to guess I'd say I know about 30-40% of their songs really (REALLY) well. But the others are mostly new to me. What's your favorite album?

@@LordMARQS i heard the whole discography too, my favourite album is Ultimate Sacrifice, maybe because it was the first i've listened, i would not say it's their best album, but definetly my favourite, and you?

Ultimate Sacrifice was a strong entry definitely. That one had a cool aesthetic. I'm not quite sure what my favorite album would be (because they are mostly awesome). Spontaneous contenders would be "The Force of Courage" and "Into the Purgatory" for varying reasons.

@@LordMARQS Yes, i dont like too much the new sound of the guitars with 7 strings on the albums and into the purgatory also had a weird Drums sound, but their songs are beyond epic, UTFOC was the peak, ive been listening to Galneryus for so many years, starting with US by the algorithm of youtube, now i have a tattoo of the band 😅 time flyes

That's good to know. I typically just assume that all the songs are composed by Syu (although a few songs sound like they might be composed by Yuhki as well). But I cannot deny their sound has changed quite a bit after Yama-B had left.

@@LordMARQS well it's mostly syu though. It's just he can do different things well. I do love both directions. I personally like SHO more as a singer. Compared to his age and What he is capable of. It's impressive

@@user-og6pb6dd5p Yea. I also like that, apparently, all the songs are specifically designed with their respective vocalist in mind. I think this is somewhat apparent on live shows when Sho sings older Galneryus songs where he sometimes lacks a bit of texture if things go really low (although some songs work pretty well with his voice). In early Galneryus, Yama-B's somewhat stylized vocals can really shine, while the epic newer songs probably wouldn't be possible without Sho's crazy high range.

Hi, fellow Galneryus fan! The band is not new to me at all. I would definitely call myself a (longtime) fan xD I know that's not optimal for a reaction format, but there is a lack of reaction videos for so many songs of them that I had to do something about it :P

@@LordMARQS ohhh I see. Maybe then not do only reaction videos and maybe more specific video on albums, songs ,etc... That would be great for galneryus fan like us.

Love the symbolism already. Also, I wasn't aware of this continuation of the first three albums, so thx for bringing it up. Kind of makes sense now that the fourth album started with a song named "New Legend" xD

tbh now you mentioned it I've never seen a live of this with Yama-B (only the Sho version). But interesting that Syu does all the screaming. In the studio version I was almost convinced one of the screams sounded like Yama-B's voice tho

Yea. I would assume it's a budget thing. It's probably costly enough to get an MV like this made to begin with, let alone in full length. Although I don't like cuts like this for obvious reasons, at least here they just left out the second verse + chorus after we've already heard the first iteration. What truly drove me nuts were MVs like Angel of Salvation and Destiny which famously butchered the songs in my opinion ^^

Yea, I am a bit worried - especially about music videos. But we just have to try, I guess :)
