Looks young, so probably feels entitled, so easy to use your parents $$$. In most cases the parents paid their trip, so they didn't have to hear their son complaining.

To those Filipinos critical of his reviews of the prices vis-a-vis quality of accomodation and foods in Siargao, his statements are valid and noteworthy in comparison with Bali or Vietnam. While Philippine prices are still dirt cheap compared to Europe, Philippine prices on accomodation are relatively still expensive. Foods in Siargao are comparable with Thailand, but more expensive than Indonesia and Vietnam. With the power challenges in Siargao, distribution has been an issue especially if your accomodation is not close to the city center. This has been further aggravated by Super Typhoon Odette which brought the entire island devastated and crawling on its knees. Water is also an issue as groundwater is fast dying up with saltwater intruding the water table. But visitors like you make the local community survives and Filipinos should just appreciate how tourism helps with the local economy.

I was about to get this drone and this is what has stopped me. The hack is not without concequences, firt it is ILEGAL to do so, second and very important, if you do it, you WILL void your warranty and perhaps the care refresh insurance. Still think it was a good idea to publish this?😂

If I had known about this issue beforehand, I would have spent my money on another drone 😅. So to answer your question: yes, I still think it’s a good idea to speak up about these problems that no one else is talking about. If we don’t, nothing is ever going to change 🙂. When I bought the drone, it was promoted based on its capabilities in an FCC location, even though we are in a CE country. (of course, without mentioning there is a difference)

@@Chris_travellust i get it, i just found a video where two people where charged in the UK for doing the modification along with other charges after the forensics of the drone. That's why I asked, not because of the usefulness of speaking about it but as to disclosing the fact that you may be doing something illegal. I see a lot of youtubers exposing themselves talking about how they have done it, which is evidence in the case they get caught. Thanks

The blame is on Filipinos, some of them so obsessed to made Siargao as a direct competitor of Bali. Some even dedicated their account just to do smearing campaign toward Bali telling there's no white beach blabla in Bali, etc, in hope to get the advantages of anti-Bali sentiment, which is not a noble thing to do. They're also ill-informed about how Bali's surfing condition and potential really is, they don't know how spots Like Padang-padang, Impossibles, Balangan, Outside corner, and The Bombie are on different caliber compared to Cloud9 etc. Sorry to say this, but siargao doesn't have what it takes to become major surf destination in southeast Asia,If Mentawais choose to not take a direct competition with Bali, I don't think you guys have the things needed to do so. Imagine if your cloud 9 is hardly would made the cut into top 10 surfspots of Mentawais, and all of that come with countless uncrowded white sand beaches, that's how good Mentawais are as a surf destination, some notable spots : Lance's right (HT), Bankvaults, No Kandui, Rifles, Greenbush, Rags right, Rags left, etc. So I'll repeat myself, If Mentawai islands choose to not take a direct competition with Bali, why you would? Just my 2 cent, just see footages of all the surfspots I mentioned above, you'll get the picture.

For small islands, imho limited tourism is the right way to go because of the lack of resources. Not every island could be like Bali & Phuket (talking about millions foreign tourists). Just like what they've done in The Mentawais for example, It's not cheap but give more value and experience to the visitors, better uncrowded beaches, much better waves and with just enough crowd on the line up. Other than the surf tax, i think $150-$200 a day will get you a spot in some surf resorts there all inclusive (and they're pretty nice resorts for sure). But to be fair, not every island/islands have waves as good as The Mentawais tho, so yeah no easy.

@@Chris_travellustit's located Off the western coast of Sumatera, Indonesia. That's the good thing how Mentawaians market their islands, low key, no using Bali's name despite it's their own sibling island, and they put the surfing tax to limit the number of visitor. Just search them, it's way more famous among the pro surfers compare this Siargao, it's home to surfspots such as : Lance's right (HT), Bankvaults, Rifles, No Kandui, Greenbush, Telescopes, Playgrounds, Rag's Right, Rag's left. Trust me, go check footages of them, there are many. Personally I would be ashamed if I were claiming such bold statement as the next or better Bali, while their cloud 9 hardly would make the cut into top 10 waves if it's happened to be in Mentawais, Bali's sibling islands, and it's also not crowded, (if the less crowded is the selling point).✌️

Weather is more unpredictable in Adelaide. Melbourne is generally more cold & rainy than Adelaide, where Adelaide is legit all over the place. 1 day it's raining and freezing, next day it's warm and sunny.

Really, Adelaide is a lot drier than Melbourne and you can expect most days to not rain especially this year we seem to be in a drought.

The weather on the southern coast of Australia is heavily involved with the Antarctic effect. The changes from hot to cold are often dramatic. The southerlies are strong, there's is only open ocean between the two continents, much of this water is cold. Melbourne gets the publicity, but it is the full width of Australia. Locals understand the climate and will carry warm clothing on hot days. But it is not only the coast as these southerlies can reach 200 km (or further) inland.
