I now have a 2012 GTL. Handles way better than my 99 K1200LT (which was severally underpowered). But the LT had reverse (which it needed), and front and rear speakers. But you nailed all the low points. No BT for sound system, terrible sound system to boot. I don't even use the speedometer gauge, I always look at the garmin for speed. I'd also throwing mirrors that are too small.

You should be using throttlebody cleaner, not carb cleaner, carb cleaners, too harsh you’re gonna remove the coding of the inside of the system plus you guys polish your chrome and make it nice and shiny and you never look at the air filter throttlebody are you checking your air in your tires are you checking your nuts and bolts to make sure they’re not working loose I know on the sports they’re mounting bolts to the frame loosen up all the time

I didn't know about holding the button down for 5 seconds to turn it off. Been really wondering how to turn the bastard off properly rather than it draining down to nothing after 10 minutes, after charging it for hours. Bought mine second hand so I don't think the warranty is good somehow.

I'm at this point myself. Although I don't put that much effort intto making the vids it's still time consuming and as you say all that for minimal response. I try not to go out of my way to give people or the algorithm what it wants as then I'll just be working for youtube! Social media is a strange thing, alluring but frustraiting too.

the dad is quite funny, i really enjoyed the ride.

I record my rides for myself, and my dad. I tried recording speech while riding, but my dad said he could not hear me clearly enough in the videos. He does have bad hearing though... So I tried speaking while off the bike, and to be honest, I think my dad lip reads to find out what people are saying. I know I spoke clearly, but my dad still insisted he could not hear me. I think is phone is to small for watching KZfaq videos, but he enjoys listening to the bike, and the wind, He likes the first person view, he says it is like being there on the bike with me. That alone is enough to keep me riding and recording, even if I say nothing at all, it puts a smile on my fathers face. Just record for yourself, and share what you want. No need to make this hobby become a burden, otherwise you will lose the passion that drove you to start the channel in the first place. Take care, ride safe.

Welcome back. No doubt about it, editing takes way too much time. I don't have to be concerned about being demonetized, they take away more than they let me keep.
