Just ordered that exact bag! Same size and color! I got a TDY to Hawaii next week and I wanted a bag big enough to fit a Canon 5D and a medium format 645. Looking forward to getting it in

Can't decide between this and the rip ruck 32.. mostly used for edc
@Everydaymilitary2 күн бұрын
You can’t go wrong with either one. I feel the blitz has more of a deployed/military look and the rip ruck has a civilian tactical look.

I like slings as chest harness replacement. If using a plate carrier then can more easily get the bag out of the way for prone use, easier to get on than a chest harness

That’s getting snatched from behind you. Easily. Waist carry is best

I totally agree. I was showing the capability of the pack. I usually do not carry since i am on and off base often (cant be armed on base) but when i do its an appendix carry.

Do you think a Sony A7IV with a Sony 24-70mm f2.8 attached would fit? I'm looking for a smallish sling to carry just this camera and lens.
@Everydaymilitary10 күн бұрын
I don’t have that exact camera but looking at it, it would fit but not nicely. The internal organization of the bag is not setup for a camera like that. Have you looked at the Wandrd Rogue? It is a sling bag made for a camera. Im trying out their 9L as an EDC. I will put out a review once i get a good feel for the pack.

Thanks man, been on my radar for a while, I've got the blitz too and 2DAP, and I'm happy except as you say sometimes you don't want to lug around such big packs. Question pls, i need it to hold a 14 inch laptop, 12.6' by 8.5' you think that would fit it are laptops absolute no here due to how narrow it is. Thanks
@Everydaymilitary22 күн бұрын
You wouldn’t be able to fit it into the sleeve since it is narrow and made more for a hydration bladder. You would be able to fit into the main compartment, even though the packs width is advertised at 7 inches, it will go in since the sides can bulge out a little. But this is not ideal and your laptop will be floating with the rest of your stuff.

Nice backpack, it looks very good. One question, is it water-resistant?
@EverydaymilitaryАй бұрын
Yes, it is water resistant. The cordura is advertised as water resistant. Also, i have been caught in some light rain for about 30 min and the water beaded on the fabric and did not soak in. But im not sure about heavy rain, but i suspect it would start soaking the fabric.

What do you think is the largest tablet you can fit into it?
@EverydaymilitaryАй бұрын
Your standard ipad would be the biggest, so an 11 inch tablet. With that said, only if the pack is not stuffed. Having too much stuff in the pack changes the internal shape of the ipad area and makes it difficult to put one in even if there is room.

The Nike doesn't come anywhere close to a Mystery Ranch. It's fine for a Cheap Chinese bag but way less features and a substantially worse harness.

I have this edc bag and love it. I'm a techie so most edc consists of mutliple phones, cables, portable charger and portable monitor. Nothing has fallen out they way it does for you. Some mods I did to mine: * I did replace strap with a thinner and smoother 1 inch wide one. Since I have long hair, it tends to snag with rough straps. The replacement is a smooth one the allows my to slide hair out of the way. * I added clips on all four corners so I can use 2 straps and wear like a backpack. * Added a handle on one end to easily carry by hand. Best edc for me. I plan on purchasing the belt too.
@EverydaymilitaryАй бұрын
That’s cool, im glad you like the pack. I’ve moved back to my Vertx ready pack since i live in Alaska and i need to carry more things here. The LV 8 is great but with all the organization inside, takes up room. I move to the lower 48 states next month, i may try this pack again or the Wandrd Rogue 9L. I also like the modifications you made.
@JC-ft4riАй бұрын
@@Everydaymilitary I also tried their Rapid 10 sling? Full ambidextrous but the straps would annoy for quick access. The LV8 has great organization, but would take up too much time to swap stuff out of bags. So for now, the Skyweight is my preferred.

@@Everydaymilitary It's a cool EDC sling. Fit perfect to my 5.11 Daily Deploy backpack because both use buckle straps and I could attach the rapid sling on the the backpack easily and looked like it was part of it. But the straps are in the way when unzipping the sling. I would still like to buy it to attach to my backpack whenever I need to. But will not use as EDC.

The ipad 11 pro will fit as well as any 11 inch tablet. It fits good if the bag is not stuffed. The more stuff you put in the bag, especially in the little pockets, changes the shape of the tablet compartment and makes it harder to fit in.

I have the bag and i love it. I did a ton of research before i got it and it really is the best bag for general use it can switch from an edc to backpacking to biking to an assault bag seemlessly. I love the shape of it not to wide our tall so its not awkard when going through tight areas. And the molle is all in places that make way more sence than the tri zip to me. I have it loaded down with all sorts of stuff and it carries like a cloud. I have it in green and owned it for about 3 months now couldnt recommended it more to anyone considering.
