Is it viable to use a paramotor to get to a remote location in winter with ski's or summer with a pack, and then leave/cover the paramotor and go for a ski or a hike and come back to it (in Alaska)? And is it a viable solo option for travel as opposed to bush planes for some areas?

I know this is an old video, but couldn't you angle the camera straight and connect it to the middle of the glider?
@CHRISONTHELAKEАй бұрын
Yes, but the camera wants to swing into the prop so I don’t use it that way.

It's great to see you're still sending it man! Great music choice as always. great speed riding. This brings back memories of my misspent youth in Anchorage, skiing in 1973 at Arctic valley. It also brings back a scary memory of late one night going down the ski road missing a turn and going off the edge of the road in a Ford pickup truck. We all thought we were going to die, what saved us were some big trees otherwise we would have gone a thousand feet down the slope. After we kicked out the windows of the truck and got out and climbs 100 ft back up to the road, we had to walk all the way back to town around 2:00 a.m. I remember it was a night with super bright Aurora which made the whole situation even more surreal.

Looking for some other flyers. I recently got a 2 seater PPC to fly here in Matsu valley (Big Lake Area)

Oh, we don’t fly with you PPC guys! Just kidding😊 get a hold of Jason Cosner. He lives very near to big lake and knows other ultralight pilots in the area. (907) 414-8835

is this incredibly dangerous? you would need a helicopter if the engine went out over a glacier? and you have limited time until death?

Hey Chris! I am from Anchorage, going down to Aviator in FL to train and buy gear in April. Do you have any recommendations for good launch sites out in the valley? I saw a field you use out by the Butte in another video, but not sure which field it is, and I don't want to make someone mad by trespassing on their property. Would really appreciate some ideas, in Anchorage there aren't really any good spots to launch from. Thanks!

Bruh, I want in..where do I sign up. I am already an expert dual and quad line flyer. Never done any power kiting but I live in Anchorage and am ready to take the leap. Btw our kite club has a Festival in Kenai next sat June 4. We are an excentric and quirky bunch of kite enthusiasts based out of Anchorage. We fly daily on the park strip and or Cuddy midtown. And I fly solo daily wherever the wind takes me. We are mostly tethered to the ground for show. But man I feel the need ..the need for speed. I'm a bit overwhelmed by what I should start with as far as trainer kites. Would be cool to network and connect with the power Kiting community in Alaska. We all share the same obsession. It's amazing when you think about it, in the age of digital media there is something special about the tangibility of a kite. Here's our channel kzfaq.info/love/7_4loL1SGXSAiGOPZyt0JQ
