This is great! I think I’ll put the word “Easter” in the eggs with some empty so it’s not only a race but a bit of luck too.

Excellent game. Can I ask how many students you would suggest per team? Thanks!

We have usually 4-6 per team based on my class sizes. Easy to modify, though.

We play it the same way! Like most activities, it just takes a bit longer to get the hang of everything for them.

How long do you play this game? im new to elementary PE and still figuring out timing. Thanks!
@PESchoolYT4 ай бұрын
We usually play for about 15-20 mins, a few minutes to demo and then a few 2-3 min rounds!

How long did you cut your Pool Noodles down to? I cut mine down from the 48" I bought them at, to about 35", but yours looked about 26/27". I was also thinking about doing this with Paddles, but then on Scooters. Maybe I'll try both in one class.

At the end an effective way for me to decide randomly-ish what value the bean bag colors are worth would be: I could look at the team with the lowest number of bean bags and try to make their colors worth the most. They fall the least behind and the winners are still going to have more points or very close to the most.
@PESchoolYT6 ай бұрын
Oh yeah! I’ve done similar things for those reason! Awesome idea!

Great cardio activity. You could also use poker chips instead of popsicle sticks.
@coachgoodlett23357 ай бұрын
Do students get their popsicles back when you choose the new taggers? Or do they just start with the number they have after that round?

Bending the rules will inevitably happen from time to time. It’s just important to teach, model, and reinforce good sportsmanship as much as possible.

Love this! We played with students changing positions each time. My littles learn early in the year how to change places safely. You can also review, by having them go through swapping b4 starting the game. Also, students must SIT on scooters!

This is about to go down tomorrow, I am super excited! Update: The kids love it. I added a round where they have a personal shopper (sits on scooter holding bucket while student pushes them). If they allow the shopper to crash, I return some of the food to the store (makes the students focus on being safer)

If you want to have winners, I would do a timer for 2 minutes, and whoever is with a ship when the timer ends gets a point. Then, do continuous rounds.

How far away can the kids be from defending the pins? And can they throw dodgeballs at each other or is the focus on the pins?
@PESchoolYT11 ай бұрын
Focus is always on the pins. Sometimes we put the pins inside of hula hoops or a taped square and they had to stay outside of that while defending.

I play a similar memory game, but I use UNO cards and poly spots. There are only four colors of the UNO cards, so there less teams. Usually play a couple of rounds before moving on to something else. The kids really like it.
