Loved this story, i lived diagonally opposite the Capri from 98 to 01 and went many many times for a movie and recital. Such fascinating history so very well presented. Thank you for all the hard work done on and given to the restoration.

Thank you, TOSA, for publishing this video to KZfaq, electronically. From 25 years ago, I have this on VHS. I especially always liked Chris McPhee's opening piece. The song is a Hawaiian novelty titled: "Kalua" or "KA LU A". Nice to hear that track again.

Oh! I had forgotten at the end of the film "At the Codfish Ball". Chris plays superbly such novelty tunes.

My late Dad was one of the TOSA SA members who helped modify the theatre, and install and maintain the Wurlitzer 4/29 from the 1970s onwards. He was a passionate theatre organ hobbyist and home movie cameraman, so contributed a little of the footage. He does briefly appear in this film at certain points, working and enjoying the adventure. He never missed an opportunity to update his family or friends about the Capri Theatre. It is wonderful to have this high quality visual record of the project that occupied so much of his time and affection for half of his lifetime.

Hello from South Africa. Wonderful documentary, filming and artists. The restoration crew are outstanding. I will search for other recordings. Regrettably I cannot come to hear the culmination of your labours "performing live".

Thank you all for this. I lived across the road from the Capri Theatre in the late 1980's and went to hear (and see) some free organ concerts there. The theatre organ was a new and magical thing for me then, and to hear the music start and see the console rise up, and the mechanical accompaniment behind the windows ........ just marvellous. So wonderful to find the full story of this instrument in 2022. All hail the King of Instruments, especially the ancient ones - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nMWXZ5eAsperiqc.html.

How nice to see the presentation of this theatre. My wife and i have been there and seen it all in action and it is superb. The people down there are doing a valiant job really well worth a visit. Yes its a long way from England to Goodwood but if you can go and have A look at this fantastic organ insulation .It will blow your socks off.

Amazing, I had a friend who has been on the maintenace team who took me to the Capri theatre where I had a chance to attempt to play the Capri organ. The sound was faboulous. I am missionary in Hong Kong with with a Hauptwerk Paramont theatre organ, but this experience at the Capri was the most outstanding theatre organ experience.
