I have the Alta V1 and I really like the way it sounds I heard the V2 is more "aggressive" I think it's perfect as is I could send it to Indiana to get modded But I will leave it stock...

The clean tone is *plays over driven amp tone* pretty clean! Hahaha I can tell we play different genres. ;)

If you had to choose one, this or the triple divine? For me, style of this one but versatility of the triple is better and you could add some series modifications to also reach that more iconic 59 middle pick up sound maybe?

Just thinking about buying this beauty...really love the look of the vibrola but I don't want to use it and I'm scared of what would happen if I broke a string..is everything out of tune like with a spring based fender tremolo? Can I do double bends? Is there a method to "fix it"?

In the closeup of the bridge, looks like the upper string of the high-E pair has (already) slipped off its appointed notch on the saddle, and has fallen down into the "crack" closer to the other string. Maybe one could cut the notch a bit deeper to prevent this. Interesting bridge design, but this shows that it will likely have problems that users will have to fiddle around with. Or maybe they'll address this before it goes into production, we can hope.

quick update ... I received and installed the V12 today on my Fender Black Stratocaster, just awesome and Ben at JJ's Guitar Pickups is great, Cheers! Now, I'm 1/100000000 closer to Gilmour; next, I need to give a BIG 'thinkity-think' about the Fractal FM9? ... Thanks, Ben and Brett! 🙂

I love the 12 string as a look and piece of instrument but classic rock has made it sound so hokey over time haha. Gonna have to get one and bury it for some layers or something in a song

I still use their FAB Overdrive pedal for some reason. Very high quality product, it will be almost like a clean booster for my old-new JoYo US Dream Distortion. ;) So it goes!

Sounds as pretty as one would hope for. One of the biggest "guitar disappointments" I've ever experienced was a buddy's mid-60s Rickenbacker 12-string. The moment I laid eyes on it, I *had* to try it. But the neck was barely wide enough for 6 strings, let alone 12. I instantly understood why Roger McGuinn's solos seemed so inept. Apparently, the neck was widened a bit during the following production year. From your picking, here, it seems the neck is of a suitable width.

I like that it sounds a bit thicker & fuller than the other Dano 12s. A bit more like a Rickenbacker.

The algorithm is being a jerk again and I missed this video. Love your presets. I am a metal guy all day long so I prefer the more scooped tones for my style, but the guitar tones you get and your playing make these presets/amps sing. Well done Burgs. Thanks for sharing!!

12 strings are great UNTIL you have to re-string it. I presume it's a loaner that you handed back once the strings went off? 😉😆 BTW, the guitar has that full sound jangle we all want in an electric 12....Great playing too Brett...

Great playing, and that Dano sounds great! I’ve got a standard DC-12, as well as a Fender reissue Electric XII. I haven’t been this 12-string-crazy since 1967, when I had a Vox Phantom XII. I should really get rid of the Dano since I got the Fender, but it’s so good I can’t bear to!

I love each Dano guitar. Particularly, this one sounds amazing. Lovely playing Brett!

Hi Brett, As I can imagine, to connect the freeway as a pre amp directly to line, the most recommended way is to use two XLR. Do you connect them in two different channels? I can only get a vvery strange noise for some reason i cannot explain. I don't know if i explained myself correctly haha.

It does sound good but I dread to think how much it will cost. Danelectro seem to have jacked up their prices more than most. It wasn't so long ago that I bought 6 of the single cut models---the U2?--for just over £100 each!

Being interested in this guitar, tried to find it at the Danelectro website, this version is not there.. Is this a special order version perhaps?
