@GuitarNTabs Excellent setup video, great camera work, Thank You! Should have far more views and likes. Great tip using the Neck Radius Gauge on TOP of the strings, and great tip about setting the Intonation length to be approximately close to make final intonation adjustment easier. Like and Subscribed.

Hello, I have a GT 1000 and recently, I played an open mic and ran the output of L (mono) 1/4 in jack into their amp as they would not let me go straight into their mixer. after plugging in and dialing in a "clean" channel on their (line 6), there was horrible feedback. What would have been the best way to resolve this? Turn the output level down? What if that wasn't enough? Should I have switched from the "Recording" setting to the "Line/Phones" output?

How to have great sound with my fender hot rod best out put and set it because it sound like crapppe i dont know how plz help me
@GuitarNTabs
@GuitarNTabs 10 күн бұрын
Hi there, The very first thing to think about would be the use of your Fender amp, with the GT-1. If you mainly want to use your Fender Hot Rod for amp tones, both clean, overdriven, etc. then you should turn off the GT-1's PREAMP block, and save the adjustment. This has to be done for every patch you want to use. Also, it's important that you set the GT-1's Output Select to "Combo Amp". With this setup you're using the GT-1 for its effects only. However, you can use the GT-1's preamps, if you wish to, for example by connecting the Left mono out from your GT-1 to your Hot Rod's PWR In socket. This way you'll bypass your Fender's preamp section, only leaving the speaker to output the sound. Make sure to set the Output Select to "Combo Amp Return" in this case, and activate the PREAMP block. In some cases, when using an amplifier with the GT-1, like in your case, you can experiment with the PREAMP block, by turning off the SP Type parameter. This way you can use the Preamp models as an "extra" overdrive/distortion effect, but the results may vary. I personally wouldn't use the Preamps like that. Try it out, and please do let me know how it goes. Best regards.

Hi, Thank you, I appreciate it! All my files are safely ground, so no harm is done to the neck. I also make sure the files are not protruding too far along the fretboard, so the touch-up afterwards is minimal. I have the GT 1 and like it but wondering if I should sell and purchase the ME 90. I have watched so many videos on the 90 and just concerned about Tone quality mostly. Is out a huge upgrade?
@GuitarNTabs
@GuitarNTabs 10 күн бұрын
Hi there, Thanks for your comment and question. I can fully understand your concern, so I'll try to explain the most obvious differences: The ME-90 features the new AIRD preamp technology, which clearly is an improvement compared to the GT-1, which uses the COSM preamp technology. To me there's nothing bad about the COSM tech, because it's all really a matter of getting the preamps dialed in properly, and once that's done, they sound fantastic, in regards to the GT-1. I have tried the AIRD preamp models, on the GT-1000CORE, and I won't lie; I was impressed. They feel more alive and responsive, but again, that's what you'd expect, when a new preamp technology is developed. The processing of the effects, across the GT-1 and ME-90 is also different, the ME-90 features new effects processing, but again, the GT-1 has excellent effects, and they just have to be set up properly. If you're looking for new technology, a wider board format and perhaps a little less accessibility, the ME-90 would be the way, but as far as I know, the GT-1 is far more advanced, in regards to its Assigns, where you can set up multiple effects, parameters, etc. and control them that way. The ME-90 is probably capable of something similar, but I haven't tried it out, in that way, so I can't be 100% sure. I hope this will answer some of your questions, but if you have more, then please let me know. Best regards. Cheers.

@@GuitarNTabs Thank you for your reply. I am after clean tone that will bring out the best in my Strat or semi hollow Gretsch. All the effects are a bonus really. I have a Fishman mini for my acoustic guitar and voice. Didn’t care for the Artist. I have Fender Event PA for my electrics. So after a couple years of chasing a clean tone, I feel I am almost there. I had the Katana Artist mk2 and 100 mk2,both which ar3 great but want to utilize my PA. So love the gt-1 but feel like I can get better cleans on the ME 90. I have learned to dial tones in satisfactorily. Just hoping the me-90 would give me that boost to confidently keep it for the next 5 plus year#. Seems the videos on it are mostly from a year ago and of course many are sponsored, so I appreciate your response. I wear hearing aids so I seem to be second guessing my tone regularly…

If i would connect my gt 1 to a spark 40 amp. What would be the best settings? For me to be able to use the spark as a sole amp and the gt 1 as the main effects
@GuitarNTabs
@GuitarNTabs 10 күн бұрын
Hi there, Thanks for your comment and question. Since the Spark amp is a modelling amp, then the best connection would be to use the GT-1 for its effects only, and the Spark for its preamp sounds. I would set the Output Select to "Small Amp" on the GT-1 and ensure the PREAMP block is turned OFF. This should be done for all patches you use, with this setup. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers.

Hi there. Thanks for the tutorial. Do you know if this pedal can be powered at a higher voltage? Ie 9-18v? It doesn’t specify 9v anywhere on the pedal… just the standard blurb from boss saying, “only use with boss power supply”. Which is normally just standard policy from boss. I know a lot of these sorts of utility pedals are variable.

Some sound samples would have been nice. I had an old Vox Tonelab that had a 4 way switch on the back for stack, vox, direct, and fender. But the stack killed the treble, the vox boosted the mids, the fender cut the mids, and the direct sounded like static! I always used the fender (F) setting. Just because a manufacturer suggests a setting doesn't mean that setting will sound the best for your situation.

I see where you're coming from - noted. Of course you can always experiment, and choose what sounds best to you, but the guidelines from the manufacturer is often a good place to start. I already have everything on so, for example, if I set it to Delay it turns it off when I don’t want it to. Hi. Most times any feedback is caused by adding too much gain to your OD/DS pedals and Preamp models/amplifier. Often times you actually need less gain than you think. I would go through your gain levels, and see if they can be lowered. It's always a good idea to keep a controlled signal chain, that way your patches will sounds better and more crisp. Hi! Patches can not be assigned, so the only way to toggle between those specific patches would be to have them arranged right after each other, or like this: Natural Clean - Power Drive and Chorus Lead. This can be done by saving each patch to a desired location, right after each other, for example, U3, U4 and U5. This would be the easiest way. Another way would be to creat those patches within ONE single patch, using the GT-1's Assigns, but this is slightly harder, bit I'm sure it can be done, using the same parameters of those 3 patches. I hope this helps. Cheers.
