This is the first time I've ever seen Mathias Heymann. God, is he spectacular! Gorgeous body, superb technique and so unbelievably musical. I don't know any other male dancer, who is this complete an artist. Thank you so much for posting, Cat Cat.

You get an indication of just how big the Garnier theatre is by listening to the near-deafening audience applause. Bravo!

Actually the auditorium is surprisingly small--that might account for how noisy the applause sounds, as it ricochets from wall to wall. Garnier devoted most of the theater's space to the famous grand staircase and the promenade halls to the sides; the Paris audience was there more to be seen than to see the show!

Omg!! And here i thought Bolshoi had the best costume + performance! This performance was absolutely fantastic! Love the grace, the poise, it was so light and airy as it should be! And love how they were able to clearly portray the bird teaching how to fly part! Brava! 💙

Son muy buenas bailarinas y estan en estilo, lo que no me convecio es la coreografia, creo que los matices de la personalidad y las caracteristicas de las bailarinas se ha perdido, demasiado, poco espontaneas en ver cada una tratando de imponerse a las otras, recuerden que fue un desfio en la epoca reunirlas a todas ellas en un solo ballet

Anche giocoso ed esprimente pose figurali eccellenti nell'ensembe. Ottimo quello che con un mio neologismo mi piace chiamare con volo aereo ed elanista della ballerina ottimamente indotto e tenuto dal partner. Ottimo il senso del continuum dato alla pièce danzante. Eccezzionale mantenimento della figuralita' da parte del gruppo danzante unito ad una grande expressio e capacità di riconduzione dei passi all'euritmia melodica. Ottimo il senso del continuum dato alla pièce danzante e la parte che vede il motus currens delle ballerine in un coordinamento motile d'ensemble sorprendente.Oltremodo brave e spettacolari. The modern versions suffer from a lack of brilliancy. When you see the video of the fabulous Alonso, Kaye, Slavenska and Hayden, then you see why everyone else pales in comparison.

Totally lovely, except for the person who did Heymann's eye makeup. Thanks to costume department: no one on the stage is wearing blue except for the duo. Beautiful touch.
