So, I used to be a FedEx Courier, I still kidna am, except I drive a semi truck for them now, but when I had 100+ stops a day in the part of the city I didn't know too well I would just type in each address on a map app really quickly. When I had an iPhone I tested each one of these apps. Waze was too clunky, and slow. It physically slowed down the number of stops per hour I delivered. It's only good for long road trips. Apple Maps was just not reliable enough. It wouldnt pinpoint a lot of places, or was off quite a bit, or would have me turn down wrong streets to get to an address, such as going behind a building instead of out-front. It also would always display the screen even when i would just lock the device and listen to directions to save battery. Google Maps on the other hand was way quicker, I could type in an address and get navigating in a matter of seconds. It had so much more info about the world, it knew the location and address of almost anything, even in neighourhoods that didn't exist yet on the map, it was so much more reliable. I ended up being one of the fastest couriers on route because of how quick Google Maps was. It wasn't without fault here and there of course, but none of the other navigation apps even came close.

This is really impressive hardware, but Microsoft's continuous software degradation is what plagues this laptop. I just got a refurbished laptop that is fully capable of Windows 11, and yet I chose to go with Windows 10 because they are ignoring making that one worse. Gemini is lazy most of the time giving short answers and a lot of times isn't right either. While GPT4o may also be wrong sometimes, but overall it's the more accurate and more detailed too. Battery life sucks for me--you can watch the battery drain just doing casual use. When released, it was expensive, and upgrade prices were even higher than Apple's. Upgrading from 8GB to 16GB costs £300 (SP10). Window tablets are horrible compared to Android or iPadOS. No OLED option on Intel machines. Performance is subpar with heat and fan noise. The Intel Surface Pro device is a poor choice if you primarily need a tablet. It is viable if you mainly want a laptop and the occasional tablet use, but you are paying a hefty premium, with SP10 prices higher than Apple. The SP10 is £2400 for 32GB/512GB with a keyboard, and I can easily get the MB Pro 14 M3 Pro 36GB/512GB for less than this, which beats the SP10 in every feature metric. The Surface Pro is hard to recommend and explains why it has been falling in demand and why few other OEMs are now bothered making a detachable. With Android on the Windows subsystem now abandoned, there are even fewer reasons to buy this as a tablet.

Do check out the latest one with the elite processor when it comes out. the hardware and the prices are already awesome, only if the performance and Battery backup were good, it could be a very good alternative to iPad pro with m4 for the real pro users. and you don't even need something half as powerful as an M4 either. something as powerful as the M1 that can actually perform as a PC is more than enough.
