i feel like a helpful way to get to know the members would be to do a dive on the sub units! in their latest album with maestro they released 3 unit songs: vocal - cheers to youth performance - spell hip hop - lalali i feel like this is the best way to start to recognise members!! in the vocal unit is (by age) jeonghan, joshua, woozi, dk, seungkwan. in the performance unit is jun, hoshi, the8, dino. in the hip hop unit is scoups, wonwoo, mingyu, vernon.

Seventeen is famous for these “Unit switch” performances! They also have “Part switch” versions of their MVs, where they randomly swap parts to mess around. It started as a joke to mock each other, but now it’s become a trend that other groups are doing too! 😂 Seventeen might be all fun and games off stage, but they’re super serious and professional when they’re performing!

woozi is not the leader of the group but he is the leader of the vocal unit 🤣🤣 the leader of the group is Scoups who is also the leader of the hiphop unit! we have three leaders, one for each unit, the one for the performance unit is Hoshi, who is also responsible for much of the incredible choreography of Seventeen's songs. btw yes, the pronunciation of SONOGONG is similar to SON GOKU in Korea, the name of the song “Super” and the ending of the song saying this is a cartoon song are also related to this fun fact: woozi is a big fan of anime and marvel-type comics. I honestly adore how you guys always take the time to test your knowledge at the beginning- and it especially stands out when you do YG groups (at least in my opinion) since its such an insular company and so I really feel like you guys really stand out! This is one of the last major songs with the og 12 members (Bang Yedam and Mashiho left). Rapper verse wise is Haruto, then red-haired Yoshi (who has truly mastered the art of the entrance - same as in I Love You- , and yes, was the one who jumped off the car in KK), followed by Hyun-suk, who also did the part in the first pre-chorus so you were correct (and yes who, despite his badass aura is the incredibly emotional mom of the group)! Some people have whining about how Baemon references previous YG artists saying they’re doing it for relevancy (which is a bit of a silly complaint considering Hyun-suk is one of their lyricists/producers even prior to any pointless hate) but Treasure has always referenced their sunbaes, for example how Yoshi does it here with a reference to a Lisa line. Definitely definitely recommend more Treasure!! Although yes YG is super big on their huge party songs, if you want to see a slower songs, I’d check out Baemon’s Dream (which is STUNNING and has a great MV), or Treasure’s Darari (has a great Dance Practice to the slower, chiller OG and a MV for the rock remix). One of Treasure’s appealing aspects is that they are just super chaotic, fun-loving guys who love each other, and who dont tend to ascribe the typical “controlled idol” mold (to the consternation of those around them), so if you want to get a good understanding of them I’d highly recommend their King Kong It’s Live performance, and I cannot emphasize this enough, their legendary Silence of the Idol episode (as in not just legendary for Teumes, but legendary in terms of the show itself), which is just pure hilarity.
