To think that we owned all of these forests, planted them, tended them, logged them and kept all the money when the timber was sold. But the forests were sold off based on some spurious theory called 'market forces' by unscrupulous government to overseas corporations in a wicked act of treason and now were are just lackeys working for overseas companies in forests that we once owned while these overseas companies pocket the cash for the timber.

Trucks built from dead children's bodies from all around the world. Shame on the pot gutted drivers in the K dubs and Scan pans . Buy Russian machinery and give the yanks the finger. One day I pray it will be in reverse . 18:45 18:50

@@donjaytv2088Wow that's light and with tandem steers to boot. Here in Canada, with a b double, which is tandem drives, tri axle first trailer and tandem second trailer, we gross 63,500 kg. Single steer axle. Is that a heavy hardwood?

@@alsteeves2044 yeah man NZ have different laws when it cones to trucks, although there are some that carts about 90 tonnes to 100+ but they are off road not allowed on highways. I remember I have loaded my truck and trailer ip to 65 but that’s because I was delivering to the mill which was close to the forestry and can be access off road.

NZ vs western Canada . NZ runs tandem steer ,tandem drive and 5 axle trailers. Canada single steer, tri-drive and 4 axle trailers. Canada can run up to 63,500 kg and don't know what NZ has for weights. Curious as to what axle weight NZ can run.

Amazing productivity within the mechanical harvesting today, and especially the trucking industry around our greatest little nation, of course it's mostly down too the hugely dedication of the owner's and contractors and workers. 😊😊😊😊.possibly the most efficient around.

What is the ultimate destination of all this wood?. Buildings, furniture, fire wood fuel, toothpicks, matches or what ?. Must be big profit somewhere. The upside is regular work and wages for men and women prepared to work.

Yeah… there’s a lot profit for the private sector, to be sure. IDK… the trucks are cool, of course, but it just seems wrong to be stripping the hills and land as the industry does. There’s got to be a better way.

Is this vast destruction of forests contributing to the present change in the world's weather patterns. Global warming etc?. Or is it all politicians rubbish. At 82 years of age it will not really affect me much more, perhaps generations to follow though.

Actually the forestry regrow in 30 year cycles, henceforth they are actually helping me environments, once tree's get to old they fall over and rot and release the same as normal. These are the most efficient forestry and milling systems in the world, it's actually the rest of the world don't replant.
