Those large saltwater tanks look like a great solution! They seem a bit spendy compared to "normal" freshwater tanks like you see at Petco and other places but, water changes and cleaning is a real pain! Having a sump to work with is a brilliant suggestion!

I reuse my sand and nap from all my tanks.It's got beneficial bacteria and it even for cycling

I’ve been an aquarium enthusiast for years. I actually got my first aquarium 2 gallon at six years old. Then I progressed up to a 55 gallon Cichlid freshwater and 40 gallon salt water aquarium. My question is I’m 68 years old retired and personally just want the enjoyment of an aquarium without having to hassle with all the maintenance required. Are there companies that will come in and maintain the beauty and health of my aquarium? appreciate your guidance

Can’t you use a clear 2 inch tube with a funnel on top and pour sand in the funnel directly to the bottom. I need to add sand and I’m gonna try my way so I can direct the sand exactly where I need it and less cloudiness.
