Really enjoyed that with the scenery, bird calls and your casual presentation style. I live in Brisbane so I'm looking for walking trails to stay active as I'm now 52. Your channel looks the go. Thank you.

Hey thanks for the vid! Can you tell me how steep the end of the rainforest circuit part of the track was? All I can find is that there's stairs, but no info on how steep (for those with mobility issues).
@TakeAHikeWithMe
@TakeAHikeWithMe 2 ай бұрын
Thank you! The trail is approximately 4kms long and the elevation is about 130m. There no steep bits other than the stairs. This would be the only challenge for anyone with a mobility issue. Most of the trail is wooden boards as you approach the end. It does start off with a nice trail that’s easy to follow. I hope that heaps. 😁

I thought i saw something peeking out from behind a tree at the end of the video when you stopped, thinking you heard something. I ignored it then as you start walking again you smell something. Well you smelt that right next to where i thought i saw one.

@@TakeAHikeWithMe I learned in my Trackers class, that goosebumps over my left shoulder can mean, there's a predator to my left-it might be 20 feet away or closer, and I needed to pay attention. It's a good sign that you are aware of "chills" -it means you will "Know" if an area has abad vibe, so you'll avoid going into it!! Stay Safe, my Friend!!

The Biggest problem in Australia, is we as a nation are un-armed and it's "difficult" (and time-consuming) to purchase a weapon, worthy of our protection while out in the bush. The second problem is the 'Yowie' is a predator and for most part, human beings Are on the menu. While the native wildlife is abundant, people won't be taken, but occasionally will be. I'm not a "researcher", I'm a Choctaw-trained tracker and I've been trained to recognise Sign and the presence of these creatures. If you're very lucky, you won't see a Yowie, enjoy your travels!
