A bit of a new way to go for Nightwish, with the children choir being this much present,, Floor is doing some fast phrasing here to, something like she does in the song Shoemaker, kind off i think. This song is about leaders, who spread fear in people, religious, political all kind of leaders, they tell that if you dont do it like this, the end is near, and it all bad, but its a lie, the due date have passed many times in history already for these doomsday predictions, so life your life, dont let yourself fill up with fear.. Notice that Floor joins the kids choir at end and connect that to her charecter she is in video, she realize something during video, Toumas said so in a interview i watched.. I didnt read the book 1984 written by George Orwell, but the song got reference to that book i belive. At first listen i needed another listen, at 3th listen the song got me, and i started like the children choir, i actually think its a pretty good song, and something not heard like this from NW before, now i listened to the song many times! This is not a Empuu shine song, there is heavy guitar rhytm in the middle section and end, but not the big Empuu solo, but i also think this song dosent need it, because the Children choir takes spotlight instead,.. The title the day off.. is missing telling what its the day off, so i think this is where you can put in the optimistic view of the song, as a listener, if you like to, and hear the song that way, the listener decide what its the day off. The original idea was this one to be 1st single, because it was a diffrent sound from NW people told Tuomas, this have to be a single, but then Tuomas decided it should be Perfume of the timelees, and this 2nd. I belive a 3th single will be out before album release, being last track on upcoming album, called Lanternlight.

You should react to TX2. They are really blowing up right now, touring with Ice Nine Kills. I would maybe recommend Swing at Me, but they have a number of good songs. I Would Hate Me Too or Pull the Plug or Vampire by Rumor are good ones, too.

I started to watch reaction vids after I saw them live for the first time...the band was so tight, the pyro and LED screen supports them even more and Marko's' & Floor's vocal prowess build the cream top of a perfect meal. I could have cried for joy. Not to mention the fan base going crazy as long as their endurance lasted, again and again.

This is the second single of the new upcoming album Yesterwynde, which will be released 20th of september. Tuomas announced that this single will have a typical 80ies vibe which it definitely has. I hear influences clearly by Pink Floyds The Wall and Queens Night at the opera. In the chorus right after the instrumental part - which is a great remark on typical Nightwish power - and Choir I hear Agneta from ABBA in Floors voice. Story has elements of George Orwells 1984 and the video also is directing this way. Over all you need to hear it several times - like mostly in Nightwish songs - to get the full enjoyment with it. After 5 times watching I was addicted! Greetings from Germany!

Since you are obviously an anime fan you might want to check out their earlier songs (like Beast in Black, Die by the Blade), which are inspired by the Berserk manga :) They are huge anime fans as well, especially Anton, the founding member who actually wrote similar songs back when he was in Battle Beast. This techno thing is a bit new to them as they like experimenting and they are also fans of Bladerunner and the cyberpunk genre as well. I warn you though, once you go down this rabbit hole you will never leave :)) But you will have a lot of fun (especially with Yannis's vocals which are insane!)

My favorite The Warning song is the last one I heard.

So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future and TW wants B-M to come to Mexico and sing in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.

The boys crushed it on this track. Those riffs are devastating. ☠
