Hey bro! I’m looking at getting the same exact boat! But I’ve heard from friends that you have to pay property tax on a boat? Can you explain what it takes to own a boat cause I really want to get one!

@@XAVIANTURNER You’ll pay registration fees and tax when you go to transfer the pink slip based on the price of the boat. Get a pink slip for boat and trailer, bill of sales are more work at the dmv. Get a reliable motor unless you know how to work on outboards. Good luck man 🤙

@@WoodyyPryorr Mine already had it mostly set up when I bought it. You’ll obviously need a starter motor and solenoid to be wired up. The battery cables looked like they were directly connected to the solenoid. My motor came with a Yamaha 7 pin wiring harness but the previous owner cut the plug off.. so I directly wired and spliced a Yamaha key switch to the harness. I just googled a Yamaha ignition diagram to match all the colors for wiring

Nice job getting it running. Did you do a compression test after you got it running? If your gauge is accurate you need to be running race gas. Anything over 180 psi you don't want to run pump gas.

I recommend starting off with a Kawasaki with a reed motor like the 92 and newer 550SX, any 650 or 750. Do a compression test and make sure it has good spark. The first project ski I brought was a Seadoo. After working on Kawasaki skis i won't touch Seadoos. Too much of a pain in the neck.

Excellent videos! I’ve got a 1995 Nissan 25 HP. All of sudden it started idling super high to the point I just shut off because I’m scared something’s gonna happen. I never adjusted either screw. Should I just let it run and see if it settles down? What could cause this super high idle?
@sacratboatingandfishing
@sacratboatingandfishing 27 күн бұрын
@@EthantheIncredible Thanks man. You could take the airbox off and see the position of the butterfly inside carb. Adjusting the idle screw will adjust the butterfly. You could try backing the screw out a bit if it looks like the butterfly is cracked open too far which lowers the idle speed. If that doesn’t work then you could try adjusting air mixture screw. Do both adjustments in small 1/4 turns till you find the sweet spot
