Toyota will sort things out..they always do, some things better than others..if they didn't have so much government BS to deal with on a day by day basis, they would be unstoppable!! My 2 cents. 😊

At $15,000 per engine and cost to replace it is $1.5 BILLION for toyota to replace these engines. Probably more than this, is my guess.

Toyota is JUNK now just like FORD and Ram My wife’s friend has a 24 Grand Highlander she claims it’s to small and wants a Yukon again. No local Chevy/GM dealers will take her GH on trade because all its issues no one wants them. Literally unbelievable…not Toyota

Never be the first in line for recalls like this. Wait until the technicians involved to be able to do the engine replacement in their sleep. Thirty years ago we owned a 4Runner that was recalled for bad head gaskets. The technician did a wonderful job and the vehicle ran better than new. A friend of mine was a mechanic at a different dealership and told me this!

The auto manufacturers need to go back to engineering products instead of marketing and branding. People buy products. Fan boys and girls buy brands. Piss off the fans and you won’t get them back. It’s like a cheating spouse. The wound is deep. Think about US manufacturing in the 70s and 80s. They lost customers to reliable imports and many didn’t come back. Cheap has a cost!

Toyota says the engines have a value of $35,000.00. Excluding labor, it's a retail value of about $3.200,000,000.00! It looks like it would cost about $4,000,000,000.00!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ZACH!! I don't buy my vehicles. I lease my vehicles -- including my current KIA EV!!! Cost me $0 for kWh as I have solar panels. Oh, by the way folks, whatever happened with the CARES Act? I thought that was supposed to stop this B-S with dealers marking up vehicles with ridiculous add-ons like ceramic coating?

I enjoy your blog, thanks. I've purchased well over 100 vehicles in my lifetime (77). Dealers hate me because I cut into their profit. I get it, they need profit to operate. On the other hand I need to lessen my acquisition costs. I have always done a ton of research thereby knowing what to buy for me. I just bought a 2022 Nissan Armada SL. Why.... Nobody can afford them, use too much gas, older design, and will depreciate quick. For me I don't care. I wanted a bigger vehicle, don't drive as much so gas not a problem, old engine, transmission, frame and technology, but very dependable. I hate the games. I make an offer, take it or leave it. Cash OTD, no add ons. There is always someone willing to do the deal. I buy newest I can, lowest miles, one owner, private or commercial fleet, stellar Carfax, No BS.I also haven't bought a new car in 40 years. Not one lemon. Always be more than willing to walk away!

Banking is just a license to steal --- anytime banks and government get involved prices automatically increase always because now the focus is on monthly payments - look at the housing market and school loans banking hands all over that and it's very expensive The thing is the fiat money system is the biggest scam and you guys need to learn where money comes from and you'll be shocked and your car show would be awesome All the hard money in the world wouldn't be able to pay off the outstanding debt - the money doesn't exist it's fake the banking system makes it out of nothing - all of you need to research where money really comes from and it's not government - they don't want you to learn they actively are keeping us ignorant of money

I just bought a car through Carvana. Their 150 point inspection stated that they replaced the breaks and some other small things. They only offer a 7 day rerurn policy where if anything is wrong with the car, they will fix it, or you can return it. I bought a 2012 Honda Civic Si, "stock." It actually came with a K&N Typhoon SRI which voids their own warranty. After getting the car inspected at a Honda dealership, it came back with the entire rear suspension out and in need of replacement. Now, im fighting their in network repair centers to get the car in, get a claim with SilverRock, and the suspension replaced before the 7 days are up. Carvan lied on their website about the condition of the car. The suspension was not just bad but gone intirely. For $18,000 i just sunk, the suspension should be immaculate.

There have been Tundra owners on YT stating the engine repair cost (under warranty) stating that back charges from the dealer making the repairs to Corporate Toyota being WELL north of $30 K Remember, if you replace/repair that engine the body of the truck HAS do be removed from the frame before the engine can be pulled. OUCH !!!!! Also read that as many Tundra owners tried to get in-front of the recall (i.e. trade them in), dealerships would not take them in trade for the purchase of another new vehicle... OUCH !!!!

Why don't all car makers make vehicles right the first time. If all of their engineers would make sure everything works, the first time they would not be in the predicament they are all in.
@rodgerpetrick650223 сағат бұрын
The problem with all the recalls, they pass that cost into new vehicles. So basically, we all pay for their mistakes.
