Hey so I applied here in California and I just wanted to know what does the pre processing email mean? Is it the drug test? Is it an interview? I just wanna know what to be prepared for when I got there

I applied on 06/06/24 for cca. After May 3-5 days I was on the pre hire list. On 07/16/24 I received the email for gis. Now still waiting is this normal?

Applied for CCA on 5/27, got my fingerprints done on 6/6, and today on 6/12 my background check cleared and I start 6/22. I had been stressing a bit because everywhere I check I was told to expect MONTHS for my background check to clear. I'm so relieved.

I just received I’m being evaluated for reassignment to SSA and was told by the receiving manager I must take exam and pass before transferring. I didn’t know it was a training I can take to prepare . How can I access?

Well you do take the test on the last day of training and have to pass it to be a window clerk. I don’t know of any online training 🤷‍♂️ though sorry.

I’m in the class now and they haven’t given my class a book to highlight we have to write everything down on a small pad. My wrists hurts so bad I can’t concentrate on learning (smh)

Thank you! Tell you the truth IDK?🤷‍♂️ I just got a call from the supervisor that background check had cleared and when to come in. Nothing was mentioned about fingerprints 🤷‍♂️ lol.

Appreciate the video! The NACI portion is so odd to me lol. I've seen people say they never reach out to their references while others say they do. What exactly are they calling them for? Character questions? 4 people who are not family members for the first 2 seems excessive lol. I get the past boss/supervisor reference.

Which you think is the better path? PSE or CCA or RCA ?

I started out as a CCA and ended up as a PSE which I like better. Better fit for me, don’t get me wrong, I liked being a CCA. It’s just better for me as a PSE 😁👍🏻. As far as CCA OR RCA? 🤨🧐 I would choose CCA for myself. RCA you have to use your own car and etc.. 🤷‍♂️ But everyone has their choices on what they might like 👍🏻. Thanks for watching 😉👍🏻

About 3 weeks total. But this was also in the holiday season which were taking longer at that time.

I have a question I notice that rural carrier is you deliver mail from your own vehicle? Is that for all post offices that’s what I’m about to get the. Pxt offer for if so I don’t want to do that at all…..

@@anthonyhudson431 that’s correct! Rural route carriers use their own vehicles. Though I have heard from some people that if some offices have extra vehicles, then they have used the USPS LLV’s. More than likely though you would be using your own car.

I worked as a cca for about 4 months!!! My office worked me like a dog 12 hour day 6 days a week they will only pay overtime there exempt from paying any other other overtime benefits. Doing the work didn’t bother me I liked it and lost like 20 pounds👍 but management and the hours are dog shit so I quit that job!!!

Your video was very informative. I appreciate all the info. I will be traveling about an hour to do my training. Do they pay you for time and mileage or just mileage? Also, while you're in class, are you getting paid for those 8 days? It sounds like as long as you pay attention and highlight the important areas, you should pass. Thanks again for the information in your video. It's helped me out a lot

Hi, it was a blast watching your journey throughout USPS. I do have a question, how hard is the labor compared to the CCA position that you've done? Is it similar in physical needs?

For my office yes! But offices are different and easier and harder than some others. I have worked/helped at a handful of other offices. All have different needs. Also depends if you’re doing distribution or working front window counter helping customers. Right now I have been in Ketchum, Idaho for a little over a month now helping out. I have just been doing distributing the DPS mail and flats to the box section there. But this place has over 10,000 PO Boxes lol 😂 Pretty crazy. Been working 12 hour days, 6 days a week. A lot of hours but very nice paychecks lol 💰💰💰💰💰Hope this helps and thank you for watching! 😁👍🏻

I don’t know if they will or not let you go, as you’re able to retest in 6 months if you fail. If you pay attention in class and take notes 📝 you shouldn’t have a problem. Everyone in my class passed and they were stressing about it.

don't feel rushed usps is low in staff don't let the supervisor mis management f up your day just finish what ever they give you for your first route and anything after is just something to kill time there's always tomorrow

I just accepted my offer. Had the GSI driver check and get prints done Monday. Need to do the NACI background tonight. One thing I’m confused about is that it asks for the business address of previous employers. But it also asks for the supervisor physical address? My previous supervisors have since moved on from those companies. Do you enter the actual address for the supervisor?

I was in the same deal also. I just still put the business address in there. Because if they call? They’ll need to speak to the HR person to confirm job history. 🤷‍♂️ Hope this helps! BTW Congrats on the job offer 😉👍🏻

@@smokinchuck wow fast reply. My issue is that the company we both worked for shut down their Los Angeles facility - where I am located. So neither of us are there. And they are notorious for not answering their phone line. They pass the buck of dealing with calls to supervisors which I was one of. Funny thing is...they are a huge company. And they are a legitimate company. Just...awful with particular things. While they do have other facilities in the USA and elsewhere, they may not answer the phone calls in HR. Thanks for the help!

Started getting shots in both knees now every 3 months. Just have a lot of miles on them from the Army. I was an 11B Infantryman. So just dealing with arthritis in both knees lol 🤷‍♂️ Thank you for watching 😉👍🏻

I applied for a TTO position last month. I received a phone interview. The lady says I passed and she would push my application through. She did tell me the post office is slow in hiring, so it may be a while. I think it's been almost 1 month since the phone interview and nothing yet. I am an Army veteran I heard that helps. Do you have an idea of how long I should expect to get the ball rolling. I applied for Palatine Illinois location TTO... thank you

Yes I am, no longer a CCA, but a PSE Sales/Sales Distribution Assistant(SSDA) Clerk. So now I sort packages 📦 and work the windows helping customers 😉👍🏻 Thanks for watching!
