I just got this seeder delivered today. It seems to be well-made. I purchased it to fertilize my small garden and to plant seed and fertilize my deer plot for hunting season. It will be used multiple times per year. A Philip’s head screwdriver (4 way) is required to install the baffle, which is only 1 screw (included). This product is very easy to assemble and use. I highly recommend.

can you buy just the MOE parts & mount to an existing chapin spray rig?

spent hundreds on this and have to figure out myself what settings to use, and it sounds like a push mower, even when pushed empty. So it's basically useless in the early or late hours too. I have 1.5 acres and just went back to the 20 lb sta green spreader. I'm a lazy guy and if I'm willing to refill the hopper 6x more just to not touch this spreader, that should tell you something.

Mine won't screw in. No thread damage. It's a piece of junk.

I've done all this and it sprays as long as I feed water to the filter. Every thing has been taken apart and cleaned, meaning hoses etc. Problem is the pump wont stay primed. Any ideas?

Had 10 oz spoon juice 6 oz dethatcher filled rest with water pot setting on wet and 8oz on dial only water came out went back to my ortho was no problems

This hose end sprayer does not work. I have used 2 and neither of them worked. First one I bought last year online from Home Depot and it does not mix the liquid in with the water. I left it running for an hour (to test it as it seemed it was not working) and the liquid in the container did not go down even a fraction of on inch. Nor could I smell anything when I put my hand in front of the water coming out and the liquid I was using corn gluten (to prevent weed seeds from germinating) which has a rather pronounced smell. I then tried cutting the corn gluten liquid with water at a 50/50 mix to thin it out since it does have a little viscosity to it and that didn't do anything and this is supposed to be a wet/dry sprayer so it should be able to handle a liquid with a consistency a bit thicker than water. I also tried it on several different settings from 1oz to 8oz and nothing. I just bought another one today at WalMart because it's the only brand they have in stock at the store so I had no other choice. Same exact results as last year. This product sucks and does not work for shit. Don't waste your money on this product. That's about $35 I've wasted on this worthless product, not to mention my time. I will never buy any Chapin product ever again. Can't trust a company that makes such a poor product as this sprayer.

Brand new, locked, tightened. When you pump, the air and liquid just shoots out of the lid and it won’t build pressure. Steel on steel with no gasket, this can’t be right.

I purchased 2 because of the reviews, and both stopped working within a short span of time. Looks extremely well made but a dud. I tried pulling that part where the O ring was and I could release one side and when I went to release to other side, the first side went back in place. I tried keeping it open with a tool but the side I was working on would not budge.

Great mine came all the way tighten so it would not lock in even by pressing it down hard must be defective set up in the factory it took me awhile to figure it out very very poor set up were you have to go through all of this to get it to lock very poor engineering.

Mine was leaking air, I unscrewed the top and pulled down the part that screwed on and there was an O ring underneath it that wasn’t sitting flush and causing a leak. I just moved that O ring flush with the top of the bottle and it is now pressurizing.

This was AWESOME. I flushed mine (NorthStar 10 gal) several times last fall with fresh water then left about a quarter tank full when I stored it. Thinking it was a "closed system", I never considered the pump needed re-primed. Had to remove 3 bolts to get to it, and unfortunately the suction hose in the NorthStar is rigid so had to remove the hose clamp and hose on the backside of the filter to get water forced into it. Thank you!!!

I set my to stray 5 gallons to check calibration and it ran out of dye that represented the correct amount of chemical for 5 gallons after only spraying about 2 1/2 gallons in a five gallon bucket

If I use 1 tablespoon of fertilizer per gallon of water .. on the "longest" setting to water forever so to speak ..how can I make a "slushy" to put in the chamber that is strong enough. I do not understand how to break it down. I am sorry to sound so "doppy" i want to know I guess how many gallons are coming out? 50 gallons .. 50 tablespoon's in a slushy so to speak?

My unit only has the "3rd stage filter" which seems to get clogged VERT easily since it is the only one. What is the risk of just removing this one?

If, like me, you can't get the triangular lock beyond the first and second position, watch carefully in the video beginning around 1:00 minutes. Simple, but I leery of breaking anything by using too much force.
