Do you know if it's possible to turn off the auto offset? I'd like to use Channel 15 without the repeater offset (so I can talk simplex to it using 50w on with my mobile).
@djuggler
@djuggler 3 ай бұрын
channel 15 shouldn't have an offset. Channel 23 is the same receive frequency as channel 15 so you may hear repeater chatter on 15 but you are not transmitting from 15 to the repeater because the repeater won't hear you since 15 does not use an offset.

I have something near by as a problem with Rogue 2016 SV. Only when it's -2 outside the back door sends a signal to the computer that the door open and close. Making the system lock and unlocking. Sent it twice to the dealer and replaced the door lock system and no change.

Hello there! How was the charging time?
@djuggler
@djuggler 5 ай бұрын
I need to time it. The problem is on the US version of the FT5DR there is not a clear indicator that it is charging. No red or green light. Just the dim screen that says "charging" but the only way to get that screen to show is to turn it on which then says charging. What I do know is that it was much faster than the adapter that comes with the radio. I only charge with USB-C now. Still thinking about getting the desktop fast charger.

US General Ambrose Burnside had recently marched in and taken Knoxville (which had been under CS marshall law for 2 years) without a fight. 🇺🇸 Federal soldiers and civilians are working hard to complete the 16 earthen forts around Knoxville which had been started by the confederates. CS General James Longstreet, detached from Lee and on independent command, has just been sent to take back Knoxville for the confederacy. His troops took trains from Georgia, just after the battle of Chickamauga, to Philadelphia Tennessee where they crossed the river on a Yankee "pontoon bridge". The Feds had abandoned it in their haste and the rebs actually took it with them to use at Knoxville. - Marching now, west to east, Longstreet sent Wheeler's cavalry around through Maryville to try and take the 4 forts south of the river. (2 on each side of Chapman Hwy, of which Dickerson and Higley have been saved and interpreted). There was fighting at Stock Creek in Blount County, after which Wheeler was "repulsed by fire" from the cannon on those heights south of the river. 🔥 - There was actually a "race" by each army to reach Campbell's Station first. The Feds won and fortified the high ground, looking east towards Knoxville from the intersection of Kingston Pike and Concord. The fighting was only for a day and, come evening, the Feds fell back to Knoxville. Longstreet continued up "the Kingston Road" and the two armies clashed again where the railroad crossed Kingston Pike at Western Plaza Shopping Center. Longstreet's headquarters was at the big brick home atop Bearden Hill, owned by the retired Major Reynolds. It was a great panoramic view before the restaurants, banks, etc were built. Burnside's cavalry commander was William P Sanders, who was killed west of town just outside campus. Going west on Cumberland/Kingston Pike, you'll see a historic marker which tells of the mortal wound he received on the hill where 2nd Presbyterian Church now sits. He was taken to the Lamar House hotel (Bijou Theater) downtown and died there. The entire community would come to be called Fort Sanders. Next thing you know, Longstreet has almost surrounded Knoxville. Having failed to take the city from the south, he tried from the north at the train depot. The Feds detonated a large cache of munitions they had stored there, and the attack was thwarted. His only other options were to try from the east, which his troops hadn't yet occupied, or from the west. He chose to attack the westernmost fort, which sat along modern day Laurel Avenue and ferried his artillery to the river bluffs on the south side of the river from which Ron Faulkner has shown us pics. 📸 On the freezing predawn morning of November 29, 1863, cannonfire from the bluffs signaled the attack. Longstreet lost 800 men in 20 minutes at what would be renamed Fort Sanders. The bastion they attacked occupied the crest of 17th Street and there is a confederate marker there. It was only 10 days after President Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. 🌹 There are many antebellum museum homes in Knoxville and surrounding areas. The ruins of the Lenoir Cotton Mill are in downtown Lenoir City right behind the Ledbetter Apartments, which was Dr Lenoir's home. The Foundry event venue was an iron works during the war. The LMU campus buildind on Summit Hill was once City Hall and the Deaf/Dumb Asylum. Nothing occupied the area now called "The Old City". It and the low area near Fort Kid were flooded by damming up First snd Second Creeks to create water obstacles for the rebs. Farragut is named for its son David G Farragut, US Navy Admiral who, at the battle of Mobile Bay said "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead !" I could go on and on, lol. 😆 I love our history and I'm proud of the fact that Knoxville and most of East Tennessee, though divided, was predominantly pro Union. Tennessee was the last state to secede, and the first state to rejoin the Union. East Tennessee didn't even want to vote on the secession matter, but were out voted by Middle and West Tennessee. AND East Tennessee wanted to rejoin as the state of East Tennessee, like West Virginia did but that didn't work out either. Check out the 1963 "Divided Loyalties" by Knoxville anesthesiologist Digby G Seymour ! 📚 It remains THE definitive work on the civil war action in and around Knoxville. 🇺🇸 During the seige of Knoxville in 1863, General Longstreet (Lee's right hand man, detached from Lee and on independent command) made the brick house on Bearden Hill his headquarters as he advanced towards Knoxville in attempts to "take it back" for the confederacy. (It had been under rebel martial law for the first 2 years of the 4 year war, till US GeneralAmbroseBurnside liberated it). They had already fought General Sanders' US Cavalry soldiers and Burnside's artillery at Campbell's Station on their way up "The Kingston Road" and they would fight them again where the railroad crossed the Kingston Road (where Western Plaza and Mayos now stands). There were failed attempts to take the city from the south and from the north. So, Longstreet chose the westernmost fort of the 16 Knoxville forts. It would later be renamed Fort Sanders, in honor of General Sanders who was killed on the hill where 2nd Presbyterian Church now stands, just west of campus, right before the big battle. He died at the Lamar House hotel (Bijou Theater). Longstreet lost 800 men in only 20 minutes, on November 29th, 1863 just 10 days after President Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. 🇺🇸 📜 🎩

The only time I've seen that happen is when the power supply wasn't outputting enough voltage and amps for the Pi to boot properly, you need a decent power supply putting out about 5.1v (to compensate for losses due to crappy quality wire) and that can put out a couple of amps if needed (to cover if you have usb peripheral's such as usb hard drives attached), you said in your other video "a typical phone charger will work with these", thats what i thought until one blew up on of my Pi's, please use a proper power supply.
