This is amazing. I didn't realize this was a fan film until I looked at the comments and the whole time I was thinking that they did an amazing job at finding an actor that looked and acted like Johnny Depp in his Jack Sparrow role! This is impressive!

I know you guys aren’t doing this for promotion but I am still really excited for this savvy

Seems like the franchise is running out of object on what to do a movie on, so they chose a magic lamp. What next, The Sacred Scroll of Doom? But, other than that, this trailer seem really well made. Almost thought it was real, at first, but there are small things that don't add up: An Adam Slemmer Film from the end credits (Most of us are already familiar with producer, Jerry Bruckheimer), and no mentions of Johnny Depp whatsoever. 💀💀

Because if Disney won't bring back Jack, the fans will

Despite the lack of funds ans resources, i find that MANY fans have stories and plots on par or BETTER than what hollywood has churned out in recent years. They put a lot of though and care in crafting tales, theories and stories that align with the lore we all love. Shame most of us cant bring fan stories to the nig screen

It doesn’t matter what I say, because you’re getting enough petty praise any professional criticism will be ignored. The project looks extremely well filmed & lit, utilizing some extraordinary sets and locations. Which all cost a lot of money, which one has to question where it came from to start with that it ran out. As for casting, sorry but it’s poor at best. I understand you’re a European production and your actors likely don’t speak English as a first language. But your lead’s accent is apparent and will be more so when watching him deliver more dialog. The impersonation is exactly why people say there’s no POTC w/o Depp because just trying to act like him isn’t enough. The rest of the cast of leads from what’s seen either look like cosplayers or people put in rushed inexperienced makeup. Without going on critiquing the casting that was obviously limited, as no one is I ask this: What guarantee is there for an investor contributing money that you’ll actually finish in a YEAR. You say it’s already been TWO, even lower budget independent films wrap in a few months. Dragging on your production is what’s costing you. And if there’s no financial gain expected, what is? You’ve invested two years and who knows how much money into a “fan film” you expect “nothing” from? That’s either a lie, or very naive. But there’s probably a good amount of people who will toss some money your way. If they throw it at only fans models, you certainly have a chance as well.

If this is good & doesn’t have too many plot ties to Pirates 5, I may just keep Pirates 5 personally decanonized, & consider this one an unofficial 5th film. I know it’s meant to be a fan version of Pirates 6, but I loathed Pirates 5 so much that I might just consider this film as 5 instead. I might have to do a marathon of 1-4 leading up to this.

Whoever the actor is playing Jack Sparrow was a hell of a find. He looks exactly like Johnny Depp doing Jack Sparrow. I’m so excited for this!

Hyped! Potc is my favorite film franchise.

The sad truth is that this might be the closest we 'll be. To get a true sequel (part 6) in the franchise with a captain jack sparrow ( who seems to be doing a great job, my compliments) because disney might be full rebooting the franchise without johnny depp. That having said. I am really looking forward to this fanfilm! PS: Sorry for my bad english. It's not my native language.
