I assume the whistle is a 12 inch, given that 475’s 12 inch hooter whistle sounds almost identical to the C&O hooters.

I'm impressed with the first recording. I don't know of any railfan in 1952 who had access to Stereo recording equipment. Bravo. Also, love that C&O single note whistle. It took me a while to realize that the Kanawhas used single notes in regular service, since I had seen footage of 2716 with a 3-chime.

The 1997 versions of I Love Toy Trains’ parts 1-2-3 are the best. Because they incorporate more clips of toy and real trains to replace a couple clips from the earlier versions that had nothing to do with trains. And reshuffled some of the clips to follow in a logical order. It was a huge improvement.

My favorite versions of Parts 1 and 2 are the 2002 versions but my favorite version of #3 is the 1997 version because of the rock theme and how the shuffled scenes fit the video very well making it my all-time favorite! (I like its front cover too, especially the original packaging!)

The K-37 class was too heavy and large to operate on the original Silverton Rio Grande right of way. Since then it has been upgraded but the D&RGW didn’t have the need to upgrade because they had other engines during this time.

I don't know what might have happened exactly, but I could have sworn that this video had the clips from 0:21 to 0:27 _before_ the one at 0:14, & now it doesn't (I just discovered this video today too: some hours ago it was like the former, but now it's like the latter). Anyone else go through this too? EDIT: This might have happened because of a bug I've known to occasionally happen with KZfaq, where it'll play a video out of order until you reload the page (have no idea why this happens but it's definitely weird when it does).
