Wow! i didn't expect them to open with the blues. I saw them live in 1983 Melbourne. It was excellent and one of the best concerts I've seen.

When I first heard this song, it seemed like too much Al Green and not enough Santana. Since then I've come to appreciate Carlos' softer and intricate playing and Greg Walker's vocals. Moonflower is an excellent album filled with memorable studio and live performances.

You know I'll tell you something I've taken every drug under the sun in my youth and nothing comes remotely close to going on a journey an adventure that this music can put you through and that's because the highest of highs and the blisters let's say Satori or Nirvana as if you're living life 6 inches off the ground the only comparison I can get to that is this music God bless ❤

Love Santana live and this lineup of players, but especially jamming to Nueva York in New York!! The band live is amazing. Planning to experience them live yet again, this time at Red Rock in CO later this summer. Counting Crows opening for them. First saw them live in October 1971 at MSG and several times since then. Carlos and band always kick ass. Never a disappointing show. Lots of energy, spirituality, sensuality and good vibes. Universal sound.

I saw the Moonflower Tour in Cleveland, Public Hall. Eddie Money opened, Gary Wright was next then Santana came out for a three hour set! Unreal evening. Still one of my greatest concerts ever.

I was at this show. I'll never forget it. I'm from Albuquerque, and I'd been out of the Marine Corps for 7 months, and it was my first Santana show ever. I saw him again in Santa Fe in 1998, and we tripped hard on shrooms at that show. Seen him again in Albuquerque in 1996, 1997 1998, and 2000, and 2008. In Ohio now, and just saw him in June 2023 in Huber Heights, Ohio 2nd row tickets. Now my wife and I are set to see Carlos again I Cincinnatti, Ohio in June 2024 very close to the stage.

Algerien- you nailed it again! I just watched a doc about Zep's first show of the 1980 tour. They showed many concert posters from around that time. He mentions Jimmy sitting in with Santana and my ears perked up. Here it is. Jimmy is smoking it here, awesome.
