Whats the EV spread on your rillaboom? Does it have max attack? I know I should be running that generally but I have a defensive one with only about 36 attack EVs, still with an adamant nature though.

Revaroom with weakness policy, max hp and max special defense with shift gear. You will very often have +2 speed and +3 attack with half health.

your question on the quash interaction with thunderclap -- it comes down to speed. both are +1 prio. But the effect of quash means the pokemon goes absolutely last, regardless of prio. Because prio is a function of thunderclap, it would fail. BUT if the raging bolt is faster than the sableye, the quash would fail. and unless you're heavily invested in speed and the raging bolt has negative speed investment, sableye loses that prio matchup

I’m a new vgc player.. I’d love to just see a break down of what all you consider when making a team. It’s intimidating to try and build my own team with hundreds of Pokémon to pick from and hundreds of different match ups to face. I don’t even know where to start, I’m sure I’m not the only one!

I think Protect is the most misused move in the game. It’s obviously a really useful move but so many people throw games that should be impossible to lose because they unnecessarily protect.

Hey it's my favourite restricted! In terms of good Zekrom teams i like, i really like the Zekrom/Urshifu-R/Rillaboom/Volcarona/Pelipper/Grimmsnarl, i might need to switch Grimm for Chien Pao but it doesn't matter too much For the second team i like Zekrom/Ting-Lu/Incineroar/Tornadus/Rillaboom/Flutter, typically the partners i like most are Incin, rilla, Volc, Ting-Lu, there have been some 1760 players that use Frosmoth with it and idk why, also Bolt Strike > Fusion Bolt
