This modell have wrong dimensioned turning cylinders. It works very fast so you must be careful when operate. Thats why it seems not pro operator…

Hieno kohtaaminen Päijänteellä ! Yleensä tervehdys menee niin, että nuorempi alus tervehtii vanhempaa kolme pitkää, vanhempi vastaa kolme pitkää ja sitten nuorempi yksi lyhyt, vanhempi yksi lyhyt. Päijänteellä näyttää olevan oma tervehdyskäytäntönsä. Nauhalla joku sanoo, ettei S/S Suomi olisi enää höyrylaiva. Toki on yhtälailla kuin S/S Haapaniemikin.

My father was a captain at Smit Harbour. The Smit Denemarken has 8 sisters of this type with a output from 1800 to 2400 hp. The tugs were called 1800 tugs at that time.

You dont damage it in star. The motor have only 1/3 the power. Not more.

Sorry, but no, Genset running on backround. Volvo Penta MD70B. Then we starting 1/2 main engines. Please watch video again and find correct engine sounds :)

What year is the motor? What size is the boat? What cruising speed/fuel consumption? Do you have any problems re spare parts or is there a club with quite a few of these engines and spares for them? Thanks for making this vid Cheers from New Zealand...

Its 1970. Boat 5,7m traditional finnish coast boat. Cruising speed 4,8 knots. There are spareparts cause it is factoring same city and thousends pcs. Greetings!

You can find more videos ”Wickström motor” W-series is last one before factory shut down. W1=1cyl, W2=2cyl and W3=3cyl. AB or AC or C is 1cyl old ones. Very beautiful machines.

Do you mean those two other ones? On the left öljypoltin= oil burner 0-1 and on the right is a switch for something, I don't know but it has manual and auto functions.

Or if you mean that what switch is turned, the first stage is for starting the motor in star conficuration amd when the motor is in almoust full speed you switch to delta conficuration and the motor runs at full power.
