They only played one gig with Band Maid in Japan. They did 3 concerts while in Japan, but just one with Band Maid. They played this song live during that concert. My understanding, from an interview, is that Band Maid will go to Mexico in the future and they will collaborate on a Spanish language song.!!😊⚡️

If "Bandage" is literal and "Trenches" is metaphorical, then that could mean to bandage up his wounds. Or if "trenches", like in WW1, is a defensive positioning, then by saying "Bandage up the trenches" he is basically saying to steel yourself mentally. Prepare for an attack, mentally.

If you see the video when they met, they go crazy pleased, then Dani, more or less with sign language says, we've got to do something together and miku says "yeah in Japan and Mexico" and those who know miku knew it was absolutely going to happen. The thing that surprised me the most here was just how well all of them blended together. It could have been absolute chaos, but instead it was coherent, catchy, intriguing and had so much room to spare for every one to shine. And to top it off, the uplifting message in the lyrics was awesome. Hands-down my favorite world-class musician jam session of the year so far :)

So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to come to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.

Since you asked for suggestions (though I know this is an old video): Kamelot, a power/symphonic metal band, has a couple of albums (Epica and The Black Halo) with an overarching story based on Faust. Fun fact: The former inspired the name of the symphonic metal band Epica. Coheed & Cambria, a progressive metal band, writes almost exclusively concept albums based on a sci-fi storyline written by the band's vocalist. It's called The Amory Wars, which has been adapted into comics and novels. However, that story is ongoing. I know you don't JUST do concept albums, but you seem to have a knack for lyrical analysis, so it'd be cool to see you do more of them (especially Kamelot's, but that's personal bias towards the band and a preference for finished stories).

One characteristic about malinchistas is that they will always try to justify or deny their malinchista tendencies, but their actions always put them in evidence. Unfortunately it IS true that they are disconnected from their Mexican culture when it comes the musical aspect. However, they are not the ones to be blamed for how their parents raised them when it comes to musical preferences. Personally i applaud them for at least trying to sing and compose in spanish. I hope they investigate and delve deeper into their own Mexican musical heritage. What we as mexican society can and should work on is for our future generation of youth to break with the vicious cycle of malinchista tendencies in their own parenting. The issue is not what kind of music they play or in what language. The issue is that they are putting the imposed imperialist culture on a pedestal. This normalization of assimilation and acculturation far from being something positive its detrimental and destructive to mexican society since it only contributes to the fragmentation, division and degradation of our culture and identity
