No need to modify/cut the bushing?? How can the new bolt fit if it is bigger than the bushing?
@mikaelvroom1997Ай бұрын
I drilled out the bushing sleeve to fit the larger diameter of the new bolt.

I had an '83 and loved that bike to death. Out of all the bikes I owned it was my favorite. If ever there was a bike that defined "all-rounder" that was it. CB650SC Nighthawk. God I wish Honda would make that bike again.

I like this idea, but those manifolds will never let you make 350 hp. You'll need to remedy that if you want to make power.

I had one exactly like that. I should have kept it. Had it 19 years, put 58,000 miles on it. Never had to Do anything but maintenance as it got older had some electrical probs easily fixed...needed 8 tools that it carried. Fast, light and agile. I wanted a Harley, I've had 11 years now, I like it shoulda kept the nighthawk too, which I sold for $1500 more than I bought it for.

if it was taken care of, you really cant go wrong with an 80s honda. ease of maintenence, fuel economy, fairly light, available parts, handle well, & for there size give you big grins at wide open throttle.

I got an 85 nighthawk and I love it to bits and pieces, it has a major exhaust leak from the bottom and the bracket is loose at the top of the header tube, and it sounds like a pissed off Ducati or something and my Buddy took it for a spin and holy smokes was it loud as fuck, he didn’t even rev out each gear either it’s just fuckin loud 🤣

Wow! looking through youtube videos of 79 cx 500s and I find this... I own this bike now, not as in the same model. This is literally the exact same bike that now sits in my garage lol. I recognized it from a few different things that are unique. Bought it off of a guy in Waukee a couple of years ago. Still sounds just as good!
@mikaelvroom19973 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! Is it still missing the tank badge on one side? I originally put this bike together in 2012, it had been sitting in a barn since 1991. I sold it to the guy in Waukee shortly after making this video. Definitely one of my favorite bikes.

@@mikaelvroom1997 sorry man I somehow didn't see this reply. When I bought it the badge was still missing but I put one on
would you happen to know the measurements for a 65 mustang?? another question would it matter to use a v6 or v8 rear end of the explorer. putting a 302 in the mustang

I'd say that Cougar may have some value Mikael - a lot of it too, its a classic and my restomodding it you will have an uncommon ride for shows and street. Have fun with it - my daily driver is my 67 mustang coupe, just painting it now and installing some intellitronix gauges for fun here, already have sniper efi and r&p steering, etc.. shes smooth and fun on the roads!

Was there an A/C compressor in this car when you pulled the engine? It doesn't seem like it. I'm wondering what I can do if I want to pull the engine and not have to worry about dealing with R134a.
@mikaelvroom19973 жыл бұрын
If you plan to keep AC with the stock compressor, you can unbolt it from the engine and swing it off to the side. If you’re deleting the AC it’s best to go to a shop that can recapture it. Save the penguins!
