Il giocatore entra nella sua camera da letto dove incontra il Grillo Parlante di Pinocchio che custodisce un libro con quattro storie a lieto fine (Biancaneve e i Sette Nani, Le avventure di Peter Pan, Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie e Dumbo - L'elefante volante). Tutto d'un tratto, il Grillo strappa involontariamente le pagine dei lieti fine. Il giocatore comincia a metterle in ordine, ma il libro viene impossessato dai cattivi di quattro storie (la Regina Grimilde sia normale che trasformata in strega, la Regina di Cuori, il Direttore del Circo e Capitan Uncino) che strappano le pagine dei lieti fine per modificarle a loro volta. Il giocatore dovrà quindi ripristinarne i veri finali.

awesome stuff, the Novato level was my favourite when I first discovered it haha. Not a perfect game at all but still a novelty and a bit of an oddity in the Mario game canon along with Mario is Missing! and the Mario's Early Years series. The music is top notch, and the graphics are great for that era of DOS games. I don't mind this game and quite enjoyed playing it honestly.

I played through this game in the early 90s. Such a frustrating but also fantastically atmospheric experience. I really wish there was a re-release made with modern resolutions, remastered sound effects, and improved controls.

I heard that they were trying to add this back in to the Dragons lair trilogy/modern release but a lot of the cells were lost. It's still crazy that the storyboards exist tho
