Very nice tractor! I have a 64 Super Major over here in the United States that I am trying to get running again. They are rare over here and very hard to get used parts.

Nice. In Finland the oldest still working tractors tend to be Fordson Major, proudly made in Dagenham England. Not everything from England is renowned for reliability, but Fordson sure as hell is. Starts well in cold and lasts a lifetime with proper maintenance. It's VERY common in Finland, as it was also cheaper at the time than many other European tractors. I would like to put a turbo n our 1964 Super Major. We have MF 135 as well (Perkins), which is supposedly worlds most sold tractor model EVER.

I'd only disagree with one thing you said - 'lasts a lifetime'...I know of several that have lasted a lifetime and are now ready to last another lifetime. As you said, the Major starts in all weather, perhaps why it's so common in Finland. The back end is immensely strong too. My brother had a modern FIAT tractor and one day he was lifting a plough and the lift arm just broke! We welded in a part of an old Major lift arm and never had any more problems. The FIAT hp was twice that of the Major, yet the back end isn't as atrong!
