Another connection to Oliver in the Hawaii episode and Cousin Oliver: The giant tiki, Oliver represented back luck and they called Cousin Oliver the bad luck jinx on the show. I just started listening to your podcast 2 days ago and love it! We/ve own the Brady Bunch DVD set for over 12 years and all 3 of my kids watched all the episodes and love it, as today's tv is just garbage!

I've just recently found out I am autistic. I just muddled through life. When I was a kid during the early 70's I looked forward to Friday night because it meant I did not have to be at school for 2 days, and the Brady Bunch was on. I was an only child, but I loved the Brady Bunch. It seemed like a dream family. The kids had each others backs, and the parents were not "square". I find it strange that kids growing up in LosAngeles would give the actors a hard time because they apparently could not differentiate between a TV character, and their friend. This podcast is great. I felt like a fly on the wall listening into a conversation I would otherwise never be able to hear.

This one feels like an episode of 'Scooby-Doo' got inexplicably mixed up with a Brady Buch script.

The moral of this episode is that girls are way better at playing mind games than boys.

I saw this episode as a kid when it was first aired, and it's stayed with me ever since. It's funny because it's something Bogart would never really say, and because it's being done by a kid who knows nothing about Bogart. Chris is great in this episode.

Out of all the 117 Brady episodes ,this one is my favorite. "The Personality Kid" is all about Peter being dull, so he borrows other people's personalities including Humphrey Bogart when he says "Pork chops and applesauce". Chris Knight says that this is his favorite. What do you think about this episode?

Setting the scene on the mid staircase helped to convey the shift in power dynamic between Peter and his brothers. The angles make Peter seem to tower over Greg and Bobby.

One of my favorite song moments of all times is Don Ho and Sam Kapu singing "Sweet Someone" and I've never heard it done better than the version they did on the Brady Bunch. It honestly gives me chills it's so good

Has anyone considered the possibility given names were chosen based upon values Sherwood Schwartz esteemed? ie. Oliver, from Olive Tree, Olive Branch denoting Peace, Dignity, Friendship and Fruitfulness; Carol meaning "joyful song"; Michael, "who is like God? or Gift from God": Cindy, "light"; definition of Peter is "Rock, Stone" inferring reliability; Greg, "watchful, vigilant;" Alice, "Noble, Exalted" ...

It wasn’t Joyce Bulifant who played the adoptive mother on the Brady Bunch episode which was meant to serve as the pilot for Kelly’s Kids. It was Brooke Bundy, who was all over television in the 70s and 80s and played Mrs. Parker in the big screen Nightmare on Elm Street series.
