The last time I was up there was an AT hike from the south in Ga to out of the park in NC. It feels good to have done that, I really wanted to do a complete AT hike but that never happened I did several segments but never did all of the AT as the job never allowed me to get away for very long with licensing requirements not allowing long vacations. We woke up one morning during that hike with everything covered in a May snowstorm and there were several through hikers who were in trouble. Your message about unexpected weather/snow brought that memory back.
@AlfysOutdoorAdventuresАй бұрын
I know a couple people who have did the full hike and each say different things about which time of year to go. Maybe someday be able to get enough time to tackle the whole trail.

There is no way I could go to Lover's Leap as I have a thing about height's. When I was younger, say in my teens, it would have been fine, but since I am 68, that is no longer an option. And knee problems prevent the walk too. I will be having knee replacement in August, so I am hoping I'll be able to walk more. But it all is something to see & breathtaking. Thanks for sharing!

Just take your time walking up and im sure if its cooler weather it will help you more. I have issues with heights as well but I get to a point I say hell why not and go for it anyway 😅

I watched the first 40 minutes of the video so far. I go to BSP once a week for my weekly exercise. There is a path behind the butterfly house where you might run into wildlife. I have walked from lagoon up the stream to water source. The feeder is for to draw fish in. On the other side of woods at lagoon is Lake Bonnet. State is starting to dredge it. Area was a former railroad yard. Hills are man made. Upstairs at Welcome center you can learn history. The place was and still is a runoff for the city
