Ironic. Stan Netflix etc. and there's still nothing of quality to watch so I turn thankfully to Old Radio Plays. They're so much better. Check out Johnny Dollar, Philip Marlowe, and plenty more. Brilliant

The actor playing King Leopardi sounded like Gerald Mohr who would take over the role of Philip Marlow from Van Heflin on this series the following year of 1948.

Mr.Chameleon often fixed people with his reptilian stair. The reptilian stair ran up the outside of Central Police Headquarters, was surfaced with sure-slip gekko scales. Mr.C, whose office was on the 34th floor, had paid Mike Clancy (Mr.Keen's unctious (p)syc(h)ophant), in exchange for Mr.C "forgetting" about Mike's OnlyFans, to stand watch outside CPHQ and, seeing suspects, low-lifes, competing detectives or creditors, to direct them to the reptilian stairs. As these were waxed every hemidemisemifortnight, Mr.C's stresses were massively relieved. Mr.Keen was called to look at several of the staircase "accidents", and each time was thrown off the scent with red herrings and blue herons tossed by poker-face Clancy.

@@prime4sd32 Oh, ABSOLOOSELY! "Mr.C" the show and Mr.C the man are replete with plot holes. This is top-grade schlock! Mr.C's insecurities and compensating aggressions on EVERYBODY are a guilty pleasure. Mr.Chameleon rocks!!
