I'm just learning about Deep Purple.. down the rabbit hole of Ritchie was a mean cruel person. I've not saw any videos etc to support that. Any ideas if it's true or not? If he had a trolling personality I can see that as some never understood him maybe? Thx

This is the first time I have seen any version of Child in Time on video other than the infamous 70’s TV studio version which everyone reacts to. Does anyone have the rest of this version?

It's from the "Come Hell or High Water" DVD. 1993 live show. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g8lmeq-Kxtqllo0.html

@@TheNight-Rider Thank you kindly for that, I have never seen it. It is sad to see Ian Gillan can no longer do the screams but I suspect it was those that led to his voice being damaged. Still great on the song parts. Not a bad solo from Ritchie but I would rather hear the original played on In Rock. That is not to say some of his improvised solos such as on Made in Japan are in a class of their own. I also missed the “cacophony” ending. I always felt Deep Purple’s experimentation with “dissonance” set them apart and it is a fantastic ending to Child in time. Thank you again

That is sick, that is a similar, if not the exact same solenoid coil housing used in starters which had the solenoid in a boot shaped housing.

Here's my engineering brain going nuts. It's so simple it can be created with meer common hand tools... Just the dimensions are missing. Connect it to a 555 timer with ¼ time ON and ¾ time off and probably done.

I love japanses engineering ❤❤❤ Simple, sweet and mechanical. instead of using single speaker with a wave modulation or buzzer they opted for a simple music relay.

Tbh anyone can make one of these and to make it chime at 62 mph (100 kph) isnt hard at all called a simple relay and chips tbh i could probably make it and i have next to no electrical skills.... plenty of mechanical tho
