My starter is playing up - sometimes I just hear a click from the solenoid. I have to turn it over a little using the pull cord. It then works. I'll pull mine out and have a look at it. May a clean will fix it. Otherwise I'll get one of these chinese starters.
@bms250ford
@bms250ford Ай бұрын
When you remove your starter motor, run it with battery leads and see if it is powerful. Rotate the gear it meshes with in the crankcase. It should turn smoothly in one direction and not in the other. Do this with your finger though the nose hole. You may have starter clutch issues.

I always bleed with the top off, also I assume you have the rubber membrane thing under the lid? didn’t see it at any point. with regard to the levers I have found straightening them is possible but heat them up as hot as you dare with a blow lamp or very likely to break.

I think I recall bleeding master cylinder in vice. Fill reservoir pull lever in, stick finger over outlet hole, let lever out. Do a few times. When squirting fluid put on bike. Hopefully it keeps pumping or you may have to fill the system.
