Pretty useless just for charging some lithium batteries, as there are a lot of cheap tp4056 boards out there. But it's really useful if you want anything but standart voltages. Say, you have a small ups for your device. And you want to have your batteries charged to 80-90% to avoid fast degradation. Tp4056 will not be of use here, since it charged up to 100%. But with this method you can have any stopping voltage you want.
