I’m a mental health practitioner, and I know that many trauma victims turn to cutting as a way of dealing with their pain. I have listened to some describe the relief they feel, as well as those getting their tattoos, in that the pain they feel subsides or pales next to the pain that they feel on the inside. I don’t believe that getting a tattoo automatically consigns one to hell, but it can serve as a substitute for turning to Yahweh and the cross for their healing and their peace. That turning to something or someone other than God for them, would constitute a violation of the 1st Commandment. Your thoughts?

Sooo True. Unfortunately some Christians still believe it's a sin. In all that we do, do it in the name of Jesus, tattoos included. Be it Dance, songs, work play etc.

Hey Preston, so am not here to judge you or anything cause am a very big fan of you and your wife but this tattoo business we disagree a little... And I have landed here on this video because am tryna understand why people like you who have such a wide understanding of God draw the line when it comes to tattoos.... Like my curiosity was very genuine Hearing you defend the tattoo rule with the excuse that 2 verses later there are people who don't keep the Sabbath really broke my heart... It's like saying it's okay for me to have sex before marriage because a few commandments earlier God commands catholics not to form sculptures to represent Him but they still do ... Basically the point am tryna bring out is the unfulfillment of one scripture does not validate the unfullfilment of another... Also Christ didn't break the Sabbath... It's just that the people who were observing had a broken view of a Sabbath... Now i know I've said a lot that looks like me contradicting you, but am not... I've grown up in Africa... And I'll admit, I've studied the African church, I've studied the American church , the European church, and I've come to accept that Christianity cannot be placed into one neat box... Different cultures for different communities... Like when I first started studying the American church i used to be mad at how you guys dress up, at the fact that there are even some churches when you go into the pastor's office, they serve you whiskey as a courtesy, the tattoos, and a whole lot of stuff until it actually dawned on me that God don't love you guys any less, in fact He's not even mad at you people, like His power still moves... He doesn't even judge you... Then it hit me... God was never okay with the Israelites having more than one wife but He accepted them just the way the were without even trying to change them or impose this on them... So it made me understand that God accommodates cultures according to communities, also I learnt that if I tried to do anything that you guys do, because the African Church doesn't allow it, God will seriously judge me and visit His wrath on me because that's not what my Faith professes ... Romans 14:23 anything not done in faith is sin.... And so with that understanding i stopped being mad about the American church culture... And am also not claiming that the African Church operates in legalism, we have serious convictions about things such as tattoos and dressing and drinking that have serious implications when we go against... We too have our own understanding of God that I get is a little different from yours but is not invalid, just as yours isn't invalid either What i am saying is it's okay if your faith doesn't condemn you getting tattoos that's not bad, but the explanation is kinda shifty.... takes me back to the LGBTQ+ community, it's the very same thing they say, when you tell them it's wrong, the point out everything else that is wrong according to scripture and tell us to focus on that instead and leave them alone Am still a fan though ✌🏽i love you and your wife😌

1 John 5:7 that Preston quoted is a spurious text. That means it was added, not part of the actual inspired scriptures. Why would someone add this verse to the Bible? Because the teaching of the false trinity doctrine is not in the Bible and they needed to have something to try and support that false teaching. 1 Timothy 2:5 tells us “there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Jesus Christ.” Jesus is not God. He is our mediator. That’s why Jesus said at John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” God’s name is Jehovah. Look in most Bibles as Psalms 83:18. Look at Bibles where God’s name hasn’t been replaced with titles and it becomes clear. Deuteronomy 4:35 (American Standard Version) “Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that Jehovah he is God; there is none else besides him.”

The skin of your flesh is His creation and a tattoo cannot glorify Him noraqq glorify Jesus. Jesus body was marked so that urs can be clean and fresh. Our bodies are a temple, imagine a temple of God with graffiti. Doesn't look good. Stay blessed

The old test is the new test revealed n the new test is the old test fulfilled. And so, if God never changed something then it still stands. He changed the sabbath law but he didn't change the tattoo n marking law so it still stands. Tattooing came from the pagans. Additionally, let God be true an every man a liar. If God said no, then we have to follow him and not your flesh and your feelings because you want what you want. If you can't deny yourself and follow Christ are you worthy of him. Deny yourself, don't make people stumble. The holy spirit convicted you and you feel like you have to justify it. All scripture is given for instruction for reproof for doctrine for instruction in righteousness. If God wanted you to have tattoos you would have been born with them but obviously you don't think his plan is best that you have to fight against it. In the world you are free to do what you please in accordance to Satanism but you have to deny yourself to follow Christ you can't serve two masters. The word is the word and we should hear yes and Amen when it comes to the word not resistance. The seeds are planted in your heart but you have to give an account. Don't ruin your witness be humble and not rebellious. Repent, and be done w those tattoos because they won't let enter into heaven. Who the Lord lives he corrects and only a bastard can't stand correction says the Lord in proverbs. Amen-God bless the Saints. Jesus didn't have tattoos and he was the perfect example, you are to be like Christ. Follow Christ n not your flesh. I guarantee you didn't pray on it before you got it. It's kind of hard to follow your teaching when it goes against the word. Again, of the Lord didn't change the rule in the new test then it still stands he won't repeat it again. He came to fulfill n to do away with. You are still on the milk, you have some maturing to do in this area. I see, you will see it one day- praying for you. Amen-God bless the true Saints....🤩🤩🤩😇😇🤗🤗

I married outside of God’s will and my husband committed suicide on March 25th 2019. Weeks before that the Lord showed me a door in hell..... he said, “ l spared you.” You see l had been praying for months to get out of the marriage. I confessed to the Lord that l married out of lust. l knew from the beginning not to marry outside of his will. God is always right! I thank him for sparing me and showing mercy. My brotha! Just getting acquainted with you since a few weeks ago & have been blessed by your kind and thoughtful evangelism to those that Christ has died for! I've been HIGHLY ENCOURAGED by your passionate burden for souls, bro! I'm digging your poems too...as well as your super kool wife! I'm more than with you about taking God's Word of out context and running around with it like a club of rebuke/reproof. Context of Scripture is excessively important! You can't eat a meal on a table with only 1 leg! I'm more than with you! (...don't know you much, but could tell you felt some kinda way about that. i did chuckle a little, cuz i can relate & i believe you, as a man of God would not allow that frustration to linger. don't think you could if you wanted to...) This video is pretty old, as i'm just trying to get caught up on all of your videos & poems, so, maybe you've been lead to this understanding already. If so, please forgive me for the slightest of "irritation" you might get from this. You said in this video, that, when Christ came to earth, lived and died on the Cross for our sins, He set us free from our sins & the law that had us bound because of our sins. Well, based on my reading of Scripture, Christ's perfect obedience to the law (...which is basically a transcript of who God is...perfect, holy, just & good & everlasting...) HAS, indeed, given us freedom from our sin problem, but He has not set us free from the law itself. We're free from the penalty of breaking it. (...Romans 3:31 ~ Romans 6:14,15...) People may say that, "keeping the law, was the old covenant! We're in the new covenant...it's all about love now! GETONOUTTAHERE wit all that!!!" If we love someone, we won't steal from them, lie to them, kill (...talk bad about them...), we'll spend time with them, ect. It's said that love is the summation of the Law...1 - 4 = Love God with all of your heart 5 - 10, love thy neighbor as thyself. So, if Christ set us free from the Law, because He kept it perfectly, then it'd be PERFECTLY okay to steal & kill & lie & all that. He set us free from the penalty of the Law, which is death...not so we can break it, but so that we can establish it, SOLELY by the grace of God. The Pharisees were legalists, they showed their love for God, by murdering His Son. He never committed any sin, including break the Sabbath. They'd went about making the Sabbath a burden, when it's the FURTHEST THING from being a burden. The Word, kept the Sabbath, just as He did, before there was any Jew on this planet. We know that the Son was the Creator & He rested from all of His work & enjoyed the good things that He'd made. So, the Sabbath was established at creation...hence, why at Mt. Sinai He told them to remember it. If we base what we do, off of anyone other than Christ Himself, we'd find ourselves easing further & further away from our beloved God, (...like i did & many of the people you've talked to, after dealings with hypocrites in the church!...) but if we look to Emmanuel & focus on Him, we'll draw closer & closer & yet closer to the God, that wants to spend His life with us...WAAAAAY MORE, than even Eric Benet so beautifully sang! ;) You know that though!!! Just wanted to expound some on that Christ's death set us free from the penalty of sin & His resurrection has given us the capability of keeping His Law of Love, as Jesus kept it, while He walked on this earth. Maaaaan, i'm SUPER late from lunch! I love you my brotha & i'll be praying that you & your bride continue in the desire to reveal Christ to those that don't know Him! I GIG IT, BRO!!!!!!!!!!! I thank God for y'all & for your faithfulness to Him!!! Stay in God, Stay in Love!!! Later

Yes and AMEN!!!! In addition, the Hebrews received many of these laws as a way to physically identify them from the pagans. AFTER CHRIST, the believer is identified by their HEART, their FRUIT. We have to stop shackling people when in Christ we are free from the stain of sin and death, we are called to holiness and circumcision of the heart, and that is the identifying factor we should all strive for. Love this message thanks for sharing!

Sunday is not Sabbath Preston. Saturday is the the 7th day ,that is why people can't keep Sunday because it was never His day. Sunday is a pagan day of worship of the Sun that the Roman Catholics implemented.

Hi Preston. The issue with tattoos is that it is a form of blood- letting. It's a practice that pagans used to pay homage to their gods by inflicting pain and allowing the skin to bleed. The reality of the matter is that many pagan societies still practice this until today and the "spirit" behind the practice did not suddenly up and leave. If you speak with anyone in Deliverance Ministry that has had to deal with this, will tell you that manifestations occur and one of the openings the evil spirit entered, was through the tattoo. Even if the tattoo is of a bible etc...it's the cutting of the skin and what the "practice" signifies. The best thing to do is to ask God about it in fervent prayer, He will reveal it to you. If you eventually find out that this was not His plan for you, simply repent and move on. We have all fallen and come short of God's glory. Be blessed and worry not what man thinks, but what God thinks.

One thing I know is the bible let's us know that God is a supreme being and has no earthly nature in him; in that he is too holy to be concerned about little affairs of men. With that being said; the bible tells us Christians not to be mindful of carnal and worldly things, for we are in this world but we are not of the world . Glory to be him in the end.

First off, I respect everything that you believe in and what you’re about. The world needs more individuals like you. I have a question for John 10:30. I do see where the scripture says, “I and the father are one.” I literally understand that verse word for word. So let me ask, as the Lord wanted man and woman to marry and become One; yes figuratively they are bound as one but wouldn’t we all agree that they are two different people¿ That is how I view this scripture. But I’ll keep reading and studying. You’re a true inspiration. God Bless.
