Like a few commenters, I grew up taking the #7 out of Main St. Flushing. Funny how the station signs still include the historic street names (like 46 St. - Bliss), even though they haven't been officially used in around a century. Not much of an express, only skipping four stops, but 74 St. should be an express stop anyway. Since the IRT was built before the IND, 74 St. was probably not such an important station without the transfers. Court Sq. (originally Courthouse Sq.) is a lot busier now that it is a transfer station at the end of the G line. Nice that one of your fans got to meet you when leaving the train at 40 St.!

Flushing still has lots of action. The Manhattan Chinatown is going to disappear in about 10 years. The hipsters ruined the whole thing.

I drove on that outer roadway on the south side of the bridge by accident a few years ago. It was scary. I would never do it again. Give it over to pedestrian. It will be no lost drivers. Hardly anyone uses it because it is just as you said.

Nice stream Actionkid. The Foodtown you pass by used to be Rite Aid according to Google Maps. Not a lot of Rite Aid in Astoria. Some of them is turned into a temporarily spirit Halloween . You can check Gas buddy for all of gas stations prices. Some of them are not accurate. There is a BP, Mobil, Gulf and other gas stations nearby. More prices than the one you passed by. My local gas station has a Tim Hortons and a Burger King. Sunoco gas prices around 350 to 359 or 349. The BP gas station on Horace Harding expressway gas price is more including the one at the corner of Kissena Boulevard and Horace Harding expressway. Not too many Lukoil gas stations in Astoria. Only 2 Lukoil gas stations in Astoria, Queens. It looks like there is more Lukoil in New Jersey. There is a lot of gas station by the Holland Tunnel and the prices are too much. Son of the gas stations has a car wash/self car wash.

I have to agree, seriously pasta noodles are a dime a dozen, great spaghetti wasn't invented by its noodles, great spaghetti was invented by its sauce and bread, noodles are very cheaply made, it's the Italian sauce and homemade bread that makes Italy famous, it's not the noodles people!!!!
