I'm so shocked still so many Vietnamese restaurants do not serve up these particular delicious meals? Adobo is on the rise yet I'm not seeing a lot of this particular brand of kho. In some restaurants you do have a version of kho but it'd ultra dark, ultra salty and not at all fragrant, nor yummy. I'm so sad?

I’ve had all sorts of experiences, from incredibly welcoming waiters to being ignored and on one occasion being rushed out of the restaurant.. funnily enough, loads of people told me they wished they can go for dinner or the movies/ theatres by themselves..

Sadly, people who are not comfortable dining solo at restaurants conform to societal expectations that one shouldn’t be dining solo. As a woman, I don’t feel I am dining solo-anatomically speaking, my girls, are always with me and keep me company. Dining solo is self love ➡️which doesn’t require others by one’s side.
