Minilogue is going into microcosm. Minilogue, and volca bass are sequenced by SQ64. Volca sample is being triggered by SQ64 with a sync cable, and microcosm is connected by midi as well to keep it in sync with SQ64

Very good demo! I loved the way you were able to show off the capabilities of the machine in such a lyrical way. It made for a banging track. Now, where am I going to put my new Behringer Odyssey? Do I really need that remaining kidney?

Great mix, I love your channel. I've got a very similar set up to you, with an SQ-64 in the middle. But I haven't got the hang of recording audio as cleanly as you have. I'd really appreciate some tips! I'd be really interested to know if you were powering your units in a particular way, and what mixer that is (Allen and Heath Zed-something maybe? I'm using a bastl dude mixer,, recording into audacity with an audio interface, and trying to deal with the noise in post - but I'm not happy with the result. I think my problem either lies in the way I'm powering my gear, or in the mixer, or in my poor noise reduction technique. I'd love to know how you record the sound so cleanly?!?

Really appreciate the love! I’m using the Yamaha MG12 mixer, and then I run the USB directly from the mixer into the camera. The volcas and pedals can sometimes get noisy, and then I have to troubleshoot occasionally. I’m not to familiar with the Dude, but it’s possible that it could be your mixer. Mine has a switch where I can lessen the intensity of a direct line in instrument. Example, few days ago my minilogue was peaking very easily, and clipping. I noticed that the reduction switch was not pressed. Once I engaged it, the minilogue stopped clipping. For the volcas im using the power adapted that splits into 4 or 5 connections, and it works well without too much noise. All other synths have their own power supply. I would suggest disconnecting all the synths, and then slowly add one by one. See when the noise starts to occur. Is the noise present before you use the audio interface? I remember watching a few reviews of the Dude mixer, is yours the one with the distortion option? If I had to guess I’d say it’s the mixer first.

@@floydyork Thanks for the tips! The Dude is pretty rough and ready, I think it is definitely part of the issue. At this moment I'm less worried about clipping and more concerned with background noise. I did buy separate power supplies for the volcas in an attempt to reduce background noise, and I'll toubleshoot as you suggest. I suspect that I have a noisy pedal as well, but at the moment I'm really eyeing up a more substantial mixer. Looking forward to your next video!
