Hello! Prewashing makes sure no residue from production is on the fabric. Fabric softener leaves residue on fabrics/clothing.

When you made that 4.5" tab, it came out with a bit extra in the center, you pinned it down, just before you put the 23 pieces of fabric together, so what happened with that extra bit of fabric that was in the center of that tab? I was kinda waiting to see what was going to become of it. But I really like the style of this glasses case thanks a bunch, I love it.

Hello! Great question! The extra bit in the center of the tab that puffs out is still there. It allows the glasses case to have a bit of wiggle room when you insert the glasses into the case but still allowing you to close and secure the top.

The package says, "DO NOT SEW!" I have no experience with this product and wanted to sew a few stiches around for extra security. Does anyone know why it says not to sew? Thanks.

Hello! If you would like to add stitching to secure, please use our HeatnBond Lite in the purple packaging or our HeatnBond Featherlite in the light blue packaging. HeatnBond Ultra is a no sew option for those needing that kind of application.

What do I use as my heat resistant surface if not my ironing board?

Hello! If you want to use your ironing space, I suggest placing a piece of fabric or pressing cloth below the pieces you are pressing. This will act as a barrier making sure no liquid vinyl is transferred to your nice pressing mat or ironing board. Many of our designers use their wool pressing mats with a pressing cloth below to protect it.

Thank you for the video. I think I might make a set for my daughter and do a holiday theam. Maybe make two or 3 for each holiday. And gift them for her. Just an FYI when I'm opening a button hole I put a pin across each end before using the seam ripper to make sure it doesn't slip and goo through the end of the button hole.

I just applied the first coat on my first project, it was way more of a mess than I thought it would be! I'm wondering about washing my hands and brush after using it, will it clog up the drain in the sink? Thank you!

Hello! When cleaning your brushes, there shouldn't be enough Liquid Vinyl that it would cause the sink to clog. Similar to acrylic paints (which are synthetic polymers) you can wash up in the sink but make sure to use plenty of warm water to rinse it away. If you are cleaning a large quantity of Liquid Vinyl, we suggest you wipe the container clean before rinsing it in the sink, just as you would for paint.
