is it all right if i did this exercise more than twice a week? and what workout would you give for the strength training
@spenji773413 сағат бұрын
Quick question, I started lifting about 2 months ago amd my gym numbers are going up every session cuz of the newbie gains, but my vertical is decreasing probably bcuz of the fatigue, should i do a deloak week or just keep going till i hit a plateau in the gym? Btw i play volleyball 2-3 days a week so i jump a lot sometimes

Next don’t use your quads. Only your ankles! We don’t care you’re fatigued after 3 max

I don’t think it makes sense to exclusively do strict, double legged calf raises for jumping and other functional training. As said by another calf’s act frequently as a stabilizer muscle; it makes more sense to do single legged unsupported calf raises even if it doesn’t feel as good or you can’t slam on as much weight. Doing single legged unsupported calf raises trains the stabilizer muscles that add the major benefits to training calf’s, such as improved balance and thus improved application of force, reduced risk of injury, and ability to correct muscle imbalances. Training them this way seems counterproductive and useless. Also train tibs too.

I just wanted to say that Jesus Christ loves everyone and died for all of our sins. Jesus also rose again from the dead three days later, proving everything He said to be true (before He died He said He would rise again from the dead). Everyone has sin and the wages of sin is death. Sin leads to death and death leads to hell (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) But Jesus died for our sins and paid our debt to sin, so anyone who chooses to believe in Him will be saved from hell and could go to heaven. If you want to make Him your Lord and Savior you could say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me for all of my sins, I repent and I turn to You. Please help me to live for You, and I love you. In Jesus name, Amen! If you prayed that, Glory be to God! Please get a Bible, read it every day, pray everyday and please go to church. Jesus loves you!

When we plant our foot after a penultimate step, we have to plant with our heel first, so to keep our impact foot dorsiflexed, our calves actually act as a balancing muscle to keep it in that position as our foot goes through A LOT of force. That's also part of the reasons why thousands of calves raise reps worked in Shaq's favor since he's too heavy, his foot and ankle take in much more force on a jump so he said to have gained 12 inches of vert through only calves raises is possible. TL;DR: Stronger calves = stiffer foot dorsiflexion = better momentum transfer while going for a jump.

With vktry insoles, it’s best to test them and use them with running verts. Standing verts won’t be a huge difference with vktry insoles because the insoles aren’t being bent compared to how it does get bent as you sprint and do a running vert. As you remember in their ads, the insoles being bent is to show the science behind how it performs. So the action of running verts or running in general will cause the insoles to bend and help you be more springy if that makes sense.

The one inch of vertical, .12 seconds of time improvement, and 41% of injury reductions can all be had by both plyometrics and strength training. These are not worth it even if they were free.

I always jump with flat shoes like converse. I've honestly never had a true shoe to help with jumping. Where it the assistance? I would guess heel bounce. I tend to leave the floor with my toes. Whatta think 🤔?
