I just want to point out, this door has a dead latch plunger. The shove knife won’t work if the door is set correctly. To get around this, sometimes you can push the door in order for that dead latch plunger to release into the strike plate/door frame and allow the latch bolt to move freely.

That was actually developed in Colorado by Jim Gnass in 1948 Colorado divisional fire basically DNR or wildfire management. The Gnass load and used a simple but effective deployment of parachute cord. Just a little fire lesson lost in history.

My last one I tossed about 4 cups baking soda on* it and then-love this about Wisconsin-chucked the pan outside into the snow in the yard. Ruined the pan but it cooled it down in a hurry. *Always keep one of those giant bulk boxes of it on hand. You can clean with it too. Good to have around.
