Many thanks for sharing this, I have been playing about with a similar idea, but I was no where near what you have achieved, I never thought of a key as a counter weight, it gives me heart to carry on trying Regards Chris

@@roblocks1424 yes I thought about heat and super glue desolver but the women of the family just want it fixed also thinking of something to block the lock to the outside for overnight

I think you had the tool upside down. It's my belief that the tool goes in one way up for the left door and the other way for the right door on the basis each turns a different direction to open it. The tool works both ways but I think you will only get the code from it being in the correct way up for the direction the lock rotates to open. The numbers run right to left on one side and vice versa on the other, the arrows also point different directions on either side.

That's a really old Avocet rim cylinder as they now use the same keys as the MK3 euro cylinder.

Tried one of these on a 2003 Fusion. Apart from the number 4 ones, none of the others click, they just freely turn between 1 & 3. That was on the petrol flap lock and driver’s door lock. I currently have no way in. 😞

thank you so much for help with this lock - why pass on pin three here? is it due to the key bitting? - it's impressive how you get those great clicks - inspiring. thank you - this vid may be four years old but it's fresh to those of us new to this lock.

A burglar probably wouldn't risk spending this much time picking this lock ....off to the next householder that didn't bother fitting an abs or whatever secure lock it is

Nice picking , I have one of those , I made a bump key out of an original key and with that it will rake open (with bump key ) & bump ,there’s really no need to bump it though because it falls open easily by raking it.

@@roblocks1424 Mine is the original one from 10 years ago without trap pins, yes I picked it from the external side & got the cam turning, the inventor of it ,(mr moon)sent a couple of samples to a forum I use to belong to claiming it was upickable ,unbumpable,unsnapable ect , I did a few videos of me picking it ,bumping it & raking it and a mixture of techniques, he got the hump & complained to KZfaq & got all the videos deleted. So I did a couple more & made them private ,I could send you a link if you’re interested. I’m wundering if the newer ones with trap pins will still open with the raking method with a bump key, as the trap pins haven’t got false gates ,they might be raked because the bumkey (made from an original key )will have the laser cut in it & so may manipulate them with a bit of back & forth movement.

No buddy unfortunately Ithey were stock pins from a range of different locks.

Glad you like them mate. My Mrs does the drawing with a wood burning iron. She only let me colour the padlock in red. I got a can of beer as a reward for not going over the lines!!!

There's someone with so much heart,and Love. I can't believe it . Wait I'm sorry this is what we have in our community. We are all like this in some way. Hear you see someone that put in some outrageous hours to just make a beautiful box. Then hours of sanding, shaping and what not. I would go the extra mile for this person.
