Nice but how do you control it? Can you add a joypad or keyboard there? Also can you screen record? I tried to buy a board once at $110 but how difficult and expensive it was to get the rest made it not worth it for me.

I have a TimeSleuth display lag tester and I verified that there is no delay caused by the OSSC. I don't have a way to test the UD DB15 decoders, but I don't think there is much input delay if any at all. However, something that is very noticeable is in-game slowdown. I've never had MK Gold slowdown aside from 2v2, but it can happen quite often on Arcade MK4. I'll see later if the OSSC catches the output Hz dropping during certain scenarios.

@@xBiggs yeah it's noticeable on a few stages. Does the outside rain stage have music on yours? Mine doesn't. Also pretty sure that my version is an undumped revision because it's got some quirks not in any other version.

Esto se debe a que MK4 tiene golpes fraccionados. Ejemplo: golpear a un oponente en bloqueo de lejos con un HP resta 1%, pero dar un LP en mismas condiciones resta 0,8% de vitalidad. Otro movimientos también dan distintos porcentajes.

I looked into this more years ago. Here was my findings from TYM: I redid this combo on different roms and found that it worked on some but not others. Its really quite impressive how much that aaHP walk aaHPHP does for Reptile in setting up the correct spacing and height for big damage. This works on Kano, Kabal, Sindel, Stryker, Jax(obvs lol), umask, Nightwolf(if you're on point) and to my surprise, even female ninjas which blows my mind on how strong his combo game is with practice.

I don't thi k Sonya gets hit by it off the pop up, it's very strange how it works that certain characters get hit by this setup over others you imagine that it would only hit bigger targets but Reptile hits some small guys too

Yeah I been practicing this one for abit now the fact that it hits some chars and most importantly Kabal is what makes me practice it somuch otherwise I wouldn't it's quite difficult but the reward of hitting the literal best character in the game for hard damage is ya know, tempting..

Reptile and NW def are problematic. In a world full of Kabal users, Reptile has more opportunities to shine as he can just fill the screen with balls and Kabal has to respond to them and fight Reptile, allowing for Reptile to make Kabal make a mistake then go into a combo where Reptile combos Kabal pretty well. However, NW has that rushfown game and can press ppl to the corner easier and has that little infinite kick combo on Kabal and a few others in the corner, so it is very hard for me to make the call cuz NW is just so fundamentally sound as a character. I have a young relative who plays NW and is just able to mess ppl up in a matter of seconds its absurd how quickly NW can end games. So I dunno, I really don't know here. Reptile is hella rewarding when you develop the tech skill for him as he has quite some versatility, but NW is like dummy good at what he does, so it's a complete toss up. I'll say that it depends on the meta. If female ninjas or umask sub become more prominent, NW gets hurt more as his combo game gets nerfed vs female ninjas and umask sub controls the pace. If Kung Lao or weirdly enough, Shang Tsung of all things becomes more common, Reptile gets hurt more as Kung bodies Reptile's efforts at creating advantage states and Shang well, you know, dat boi cannot be juggled..

As a fellow Reptile enthusiast god I love that character, when you stated how much of a bastard shang is to juggle, I felt that one... That mf bro lol he's THE Reptile infinite immune character. Wouldn't be surprised to see ppl use Shang as a Reptile counter.

People do try to pick Shang vs Reptile and Ermac because of his hitbox, but he still loses the matchup bad. Reptile and Ermac out damage Shang in the matchup, and if he tries to morph for more damage we get a better hitbox to juggle

I can see Reptile still generally winning, but not so sure about outdamaging as Shang can get nasty damage off an eruption. What's the best thing Reptike can do? What I labbed is jump punch into pop up into elbow dash uppercut for 39% but that's kinda it. If I try to juggle the bastard he just plops to the ground before I can get any juggle going. I k ow how to do Teptile combos on the entire cast except Shang.

The problem with this is that you cant buffer the first directional before blocking (blocking cancels what was previously pressed) and you have to press the first directional ON or after blocking, so you cant "try to gain more time." this way. Another problem is that in the heat of battle we do everything quickly and this punishment is much slower and relaxed than it seems... A tip could be to press lets say 3 directionas so if the first one its cancelled to being pressed before blocking you have the other 2 but im not sure if thats a good tip. On the other hand Nightwolf's shoulder for example seems much easier, I don't think it just has to do with it being press forward instead backwards, the action and recovery times must be different.

I suppose you techinically can buffer before and press block + LP at the same time. Many more characters are suceptible to these as well. Specially on arcade. BTW Liu Kang is theone that gets the easiest free hit at round start, but obviously, this one hurts WAY more 👻 Funny that MK1 is having certain issues like this. Good stuff Biggs!

Thanks for the correction on the description. I've gotten the Harpoon to juggle properly in training, but I max Flycast settings when recording and it makes my game have horrible delay. I didn't see the combo after Harpoon in your Scorpion FAQ so I thought I'd post this here.
